Hello to the forum.:welcome: I am brand new to this page and want to just start by saying High... I have started my own project and I'm loving every bit of it. There are a lot of questions that I'm going to have along the way. :bong:

So you guys know I make a large grow hood/Lamp I'm trying to get the word out that its cheap and large scale. Its designed after the most expensive grow light that Hgt Supply offers.

So my journey begins and I'm looking forward to showing you the process of my growth. My Girls are still in seed and I have one that I actually found and transplanted. For Real !
I'll Keep you posted.

Thanks...:thumb:

I'm growing in dirt and really focusing on lighting and reflecting all of the light. I just put five pre-soaked seeds that have started to show in the dirt this morning. I have fertilizer in spray bottles measured out and ready for use. Is it to early to fertilize

To reflect all the light you'll need some mylar. I use survival blankets that I got online for less than a dollar each.

Roseman did a spectacular grow under fluorescent lights. You might want to check out his tutorial on that.

Way too early to fertilize. If you're using good soil, like fox farm, you won't need to worry about fertilizing for a while. Better to wait for some leaves to grow.

The guys here recommend that you start with a 1/4 dose of fertilizer when the time is right. If you give them a full dose to start with, they'll likely not take it well.

There's a lot of info in these forums for you. It's going to take a while for you to wade through and find out what part is for you. Fortunately, if you're using quality soil, your plants won't need more than light and water from you for a few days.

Have fun

I think you are right about the fertilizer. So I'll wait on that for awhile Thanks. I'm using Miracle grow soil so I was thinking its great for this.

I actually went ahead and ordered the mylar it should be here today :wood: I've have to rooms set up one will be for the babies and one is for when the babies stand I'm thinkin about 24inch's is a good hight. But when Do I know for sure there ready to flower?:reading420magazine:

They can veg indefinitely. It's pretty much up to you when to bump them into flowering by changing the lighting to 12 hours on/ 12 hours off. Most recommend 5 or 6 weeks.

Also, Uncle Ben says that 20 hours light and 4 hours of dark is best for vegging. He's quite an authority on growing.

Just when your plants get to the size you want, change the lighting to 12/12 and they will flower.

Sounds like a plan Its 20/4 till they get where i want them. I just finished my flowering room today the mylar came in yesterday. I think its perfect for what I want after seeing what others have been able to grow.

This is where I started

You got it going now. For some reason they get that mylar to you super fast. I ordered mine one night and got it off the porch the next day. I guess they thought it was an emergency...

Welcome to the best cannabis-awareness site on the Internet.

You'll want to take care of those light-leaks before flowering. Mylar (especially the thin stuff) doesn't make a real effective light-barrier so you're probably going to still have some leakage after you install it.

Get those wrinkles out! Mylar is highly reflective and a very good thing to use on the walls of a grow room - if it is FLAT. It's overall usefulness has been shown to be less than stellar otherwise.

You right about the wrinkles I'll give it another go. The most wrinkles are on the top of the room and I'm not to worried because the walls are smooth on each side and with the light hood its good to go. :joint:

The site-sponsor idea... I don't know much about it I signed up not long ago. Wouldn't mind some info on it.

In the Grow room I've got two GE T8 Warm fluorescent bulbs and in the flowering room there are two Halagen 85 Watt with 1065 Lumens's.
Sound okay?

I worry a lot about using the right lights.

I'm really not sure. I just use fluorescent lights and mh lights. What Type of Lighting is Best?

There's some info there in case your lights are not up to par. I just use what I was taught to use.

You can start a string in that section if you have doubts about your lighting.

Okay I need some opinions on this please :helpsmilie: So I have socked all of my seeds and they began to open so I carefully placed them in the dirt just so they were covered. Its been almost a week for 6 of them and 4 for the newer ones. What the deal you think. just Shitty seeds or need more Time.

? How much time does it take for seeds to sprout out of the soil?

No. Halogen lights are not grow-lights. They produce lots of heat with a little bit of light.

Hey there... Sorry its been awhile lots of things going on and the plants are doing awesome :thumb: I'm three to four weeks into my grow and the ladies are getting big they haven't jumped yet but I'm thinkin the next two weeks is going to be a great show:popcorn:

I have been doing a lot of reading :reading420magazine: about hydroponics and I decided to give it a try. I am amazed at how fast she is growing up after soaking for two days its took another two days to stand on her own. Now she's two weeks or so maybe less and is rapidly passing the soil one's.
