Hi

Sorry about the newbie question

I cant really get my head around full spectrum LEDs.

I want to grow a single plant in a very small space (1sq foot).

I've been looking at this grow light. Do you think it will do the job for both veg and flowering? Or am I missing something?

That would work but it doesn't have enough intensity by itself. For a single plant I would use at least 4 of those and at the price it doesn't make sense to buy that many. I have had very good results using some of the Mars 300W lamps-the type that you can buy a set for about $100. It has enough light intensity to grow a decent sized plant provided you trained the canopy to spread out for even coverage.
