RARITAN TWP. -- Radio personality Chris Goldstein and Ken Wolski, RN will host a "New Jersey Medical Marijuana Information Seminar" Friday 7/24 at 7 p.m. in the county library off Route 12. It's free and open to the public.
Goldstein will discuss the history of marijuana use, its prohibition in the United States, and medical marijuana. Wolski, who represents the Coalition for Medical Marijuana-New Jersey said, "The seminar will explain the need for this safe, effective and inexpensive therapeutic agent. Nearly 25% of all Americans now live in a medical marijuana state and eventually, it will be legal throughout the country."
Goldstein was the voice for the National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws weekly broadcast report and daily podcast until February 2008. Wolski will discuss the state Compassionate Use Medical Marijuana bill, pending in the Legislature.
Free literature will be available and there will be time for questions from the audience.
