Hi All,
Just started my 1st grow, got a 60x60x158 tent with a 1000w led currently on day 11. Growing one auto northen lights at the moment. Any advice welcome, I've got advanced nutrients, grow, micro and bloom which I plan to feed once I get to 3 nodes, currently feeding them ph 5.8 - 6.2 water in coco and perlite 70% coco 30% perlite
Feeding plan I was going to go with is ...
900ml water
Veg
1.5ml micro
1.5ml grow
1ml bloom
No cal mag as I've got very hard water?
Flower.
1.5ml micro
1ml grow
1.5ml bloom
No cal mag

I've made a 5 gallon self wicking bucket to transfer her over to once large enough. Tent is currently 70% humidity at 23c (73f for my American friends)

Hopefully everything continues well but anything you think could be better let me know.

Thanks

Only add extra cal mag if you think you need it if it shows rust spots you will need to at some point in sure specially if under led

Hi @Lou118 :welcome: to :420:

Your in excellent hands with Kingjoe

Lou have you considered starting a grow journal? They're great ways for members to follow along and help with your grow.l, either way I just wanted to wish you a welcome and best wishes for your grow!

In coco it is almost required.
Some genetics are more mag hungry than others.
Watch for red stems.

I add 1ml Epsom Salts* per gallon of feed for every feeding.

* Be sure to get just plain jane Epsom Salts. No "floral scented for foot care" crap. Cheapest ES you can get is what you need. THEN you don't need to spend $50 a gallon on Cal Mag.

Well, you're in coco :hmmmm: so I hope you're watering at least twice a day,PH at 5.5, WITH low dose of cal-mag every time, doesn't matter what water your using

Good to know but doesn't epsom.saot only have strong source of magnesium? Not calcium ?
Something tells me you already know the answer to that :popcorn:

Twice a day? I'm worried about over watering haha and the ph tends to be 5.8 is lower better?
You're in coco and perlite, yes, water twice a day with low dose cal-mag, and every other day with low dose nutrients...you have to treat coco like hydro :hmmmm: sort of...don't let the coco coir dry out :thumb: and your PH...here ya go, left side is what you want...cuz you said " currently feeding them ph 5.8 - 6.2 water in coco" 6.2 is too high, 5.8 is perfect, but PH tends to rise so I shoot for a little lower :goodluck:

Flood&drain and dwc , it’s @Backlipslide @Pennywise and @Old Salt do the coco .

Yes. It does not have Calcium in it.
But, I bet whatever feed you're using does ... and it is prolly enough.

There's a chart somewhere on the web that shows pix's of leaves and what they look like with different types of deficiencies ... if you get a Calcium deficiency going on just schlep down to GNC and buy some calcium.
Either pills (crush them up) or liquid.

I just HATE spending $100's of dollars on 98% water and 1.9% magnesium and .01% calcium when I can make my own for $10.

But, as a newbie, remember this: Don't make it hard. Don't over-love your plants. Don't obsess over every little brown spot on every leaf.
Your girls will do the hard work ... let em go.

A shot glass of ES in 25 gal of feed will be appreciated by your girls. (1 ml per gal, approx)

Learn the Ph pen, and why that is important.
Learn the PPM pen, what readings to use, and why its important. *

Just stick with the basics right now. Don't over complicate it for now. Make a good run and adjust and learn how to do truly dank week. It's a process mate. You just started med school - you're not ready for surgery yet.
Don't over complicate.
Just water (not too much), and feed (not too much) and let em run.

* I go for 400 ppm as seedlings and clones. Then to 600 ppm as teens. Right at flower I bump to 800+ ppm. Two weeks before harvest I reduce back down to 500 ppm. And flush at 200 ppm last week.

PS to add: I didn't see that MochaBud already posted the chart. Yea, different nutes are 'picked up' at different ph levels. I try to bounce mine around. I mite do 6.2 today, and 5.7 tomorrow, and 5.9 next. then 5.3 ... it picks up different traces and nutes.
