New grower in small town

Hi everyone, my name is Gypsy and this is actually my second time growing. The first time was when I was 14, but that didn't last long. My step dad plowed them down with the mower. Took me almost 45yrs to try again. This is going to be one of my new hobbies. I am a soil grower using miracle grow soil, and from what I've read in the forums i have been doing this the hard way. I just spent over $160.00 on nutes i don't need. I have the flora series, dry and liquid koolbloom, ph down, and a couple other things. Pretty much everything for a hydroponic setup without the hydroponics. I do have a 24x24x60 tent with 1000w light. I am using water spring water, but, the one thing I do know is that I can use all the help I can get. I did want to post a pic of my girl but it won't let me.

Are you trying to upload from a phone? Or from a computer whether a desktop, laptop, netbook or similar?

It is probably a good idea to read over the rest of it also just to get a better feel on all the different ways it can be done.

1st thing is don't use miracle grow soil. Since you have everything, maybe try a soilless grow?

It's growing w/o soil, coco, hempy (just perlite) and others...but don't worry about that Gypsy, just learn how to grow the plant first, Miracle Grow is just fine

It's growing w/o soil, coco, hempy (just perlite) and others...but don't worry about that Gypsy, just learn how to grow the plant first, Miracle Grow is just fine

Agreed. My first grow was already started when I got involved & it was in miracle grow. I don’t use it anymore, but we got some good bud off that grow.

I have a question about male plants. I had two plants and one turned out to be a male. Now i had made a tent out of a tarp and taped tin foil to the walls, and put my male in the homemade tent before i figured out ir was a male. Can i move my female over or will i have to clean it?

Hi Gypsy, and welcome to the forum! All you have to do to clean the tent of active pollen is to spray it down. Just water works, it doesn't even have to be bleach.

Do you know the strain?
1)Just relax and remember it is called weed cause how easy it grows. With practice you get bigger,better buds.
2)Most weed killers are concentrated nutrients that kill through nute burn. Biggest problem with new growers,overfeeding.
3)Welcome down the rabbit hole,,,um sorry,,, I meen the hoby! lol
