New and needing help! Yellowing plants!

Hey 420, I can really use your late night help. I just got home and one of my plants is looking rough, and another is starting to head in that direction. I do not know what is causing this. My friend has been taking care of them for the week I was gone. Here is the rundown, they were repotted about 2 weeks ago into roots organic, and have not yet had nutes added. I was planning on starting that tomorrow. They have ventilation, fans, and are in 3g pots. Here are the pics of the one in bad shape. If anyone can diagnose this it will be very helpful. Thanks so much for taking the time to read this!

For more info take a look at my link in the signature.

Looks like lockout due to pH. More nutes will only hurt.

What is your run off pH?

I ph to 6.5 before watering, I have 3 gallon pots and never seem to get runoff. I feel that i need to water more when I do water, and am gethering the containers needed to do so. hopefully my next watering will provide some runoff that I can test. I will be certain to post my findings, although it will be in a few days. Thanks for the help DroopyDog!

Im not disagreeing with Droopy Dog, I just dont personally think that looks like lockout. The leaves would be more demented and twisted up. I think nutes are just what it needs. If you put it in any growing medium, there are no nutrients in it. Therefore it needs nutrients added. I would suggest Botanicare's Pure Blend series. I use it myself with Liquid Karma as an additivve and it works great. Dont take anybodys word for it do some research. if you are going to add the nutes, start off with half what your schedule calls for... Just in case. Good Luck!

Thanks MJGenius, I think you were right on the money. I added nutes after my last post here at 1/4 strength (GH) and not only did it fix the issue, the plants all exploded with growth. I was advised by she ocal shopto wait weeks before adding nutes, but I decided to wait 2. I now feel I should have added them even sooner. I will post some pics to my journal later on today. I still have a couple isues to work out with my Master Kush, but I might start a new thread for that.
Thanks again for the advice!

Hey no problem man thats what were all here for right? To learn and educate at the same time. Im glad everything went well and im definately looking forward to those pics!

Good call MJG.

I've just gotten so used to either pH problems or overnuting issues, the LACK of nutes blindsided me. LOL

GC, good on you. Not applying nutes, having the patience/self control, is a good thing and easily fixed. Most over do it and it's a real bitch to get them back out once they are applied.

I would still get the lime and top dress with it. Will keep your pH right along with cal/mag for the rest of the grow. It usually seems to pop up 4-7 weeks into flower and the lime takes a couple of weeks to kick in.

Do this, it prevents many problems.

Thanks DroopyDog, and good info there. I actually have a question for you about Cal-Mag. If calcium and magnesium are both readily available in my nutes, is it still recommended to use this?

Thanks to both of you! Droopy, I dont remember reading anything about lime... you mentioned it above but I dont fully understand what I should be doing with it. New pics are available in my journal, and I would appreciate it if both of you could take a look whenever you have some free time. I could use advice from experienced growers like yourselves. I still cant test the runoff because I have the shaker test kit and the runoff is so murky that I cant tell the color it turns the water.
Also, I repotted the Master Kush into a gallon smart pot today. I was surprised by the amount of roots, and think I got it done just in time.
I may be switching to flowering in the next week, Ive been holding out for the 18 inch mark. What do you think?

Just type "lime" into the search function on this forum and there are 4 pages of threads.

Read especially the thread started by DiseasesRus. The before and after pics are great.

Glad the problem is resolved with your plant! Don't use Lime in your pots! and don't use Hydrated lime! You Dolomite Lime to balance the PH in your soil mix. I was going to say based on the pics it looks like straight N def plant yellowing like that from the bottom up. Deficiencies are generally linked to PH or under/over water of plants.

Thanks DroopyDog, and good info there. I actually have a question for you about Cal-Mag. If calcium and magnesium are both readily available in my nutes, is it still recommended to use this?

I wouldn't, not if there is cal/mag in your nutes. Too much can cause a lockout.
