Need to Clone ASAP but how soon?

you can clone at any time really... however. the success rate of the clones is directly impacted by the mothers health.

why not just clip off all the rough looking growth, and leave the good stuff, and just re veg her to the size you want? its pretty much doing the same thing without having to clone.

if you read my journal... you will see that when in veg a plant can go through hell and back several times, and as long as she is healthy going into flower, work out just as good.

i had deficencies, root rot, overdoses, burning, etc, and kept her barley alive for 6 months before i straightened her out and got her healthy again. now shes about 2-3 days away from chop and looks amazing.

I thought about doing that but didn't. Think it would work, 2 weeks ago I had to clip off most of the an leaves and there were onl 6 left. When new growth start cming in it was fine. This past week I've been usin co2 to keep it vigerous and alive. Growth was great but the problems still remained.leaves stacking up, rough dryness, uneven growth. One side wasn't growing at all. It was just a mess. I felt it was better to start over vs wasting electric on regrowth and nursng the plant for another 3 to 6 months. So I took atleast 5 clippings and threw it away. Hopefully they grow roots. I have them in soil/coco coir and ph the solution to 5.5. I used clonex on most of them and tryd rooting powder on 2.

well... if it was still having issues after you removed all infected growth... then something still isnt right with the soil, or enviroment... i would be trying to figure out the issues first.

once the plant is in a healthy enviroment... it should recover within the week. and resume proper growth.. which would put it well ahead of clones..

You don't really want to give them co2 at this point. They are trying to grow roots. They won't really do anything apart from yellow on the bottom leaves, while they eat themselves to sustain life, and start a root system. This is normal.

When you see roots, remove the dome for a few hours at a time, gradually increasing the amount of time they are exposed to the real environment, and you should start to see growth at this point. If they start to droop pretty bad when you remove the dome. Lightly mist them and put it back on. A little drooping is normal.

Good luck bud.
Edit: might I add, that a little heat on the root area helps a lot as well. But be careful of making it too warm. I use a product called aquashield on clones. It allows you to run the roots warmer than normal without having them damp off. The warmer the root zone, the faster she will root. To an extent obviously.. Then it becomes dangerous.
