Need some input from my 420 friends

This is my friend sarah..Sarah is a kusk plant being grown in coco soil with a half the suggested nutes by the mills company she is 5 wks old and is gonna be Trans planted into a bigger grow bag this week
She loves the L E D
Lights i am using....
My question is the bigger leaves (hand size) are really covering up the growth under neath
Do I leave them alone or do I get them out of the way
So other plant parts can get some of that

Is Sarah a photoperiod or an autoflower? Either way I would be tempted to skip the defol and just grow her out. Lst would be a good option plus it does not require the recovery time a plant that has been topped must endure.

Autos begin to flower regardless of light hours, photoperiods will not begin to flower until lighting is changed to 12/12

No you don’t have to do anything training wise - that’s aI naturale or Christmas tree style. You will need to flip lights to initiate flower. Photoperiod plants must have 12 hours of continual pitch black darkness every night. Light leaks from under the door or power strip indicator lights need to be addressed and blacked out or the plant can hermie & grow male parts
