Things I have for ventilation...
4 x 7 x 7 tent
8" Heavy Duty Carbon Filter (Thing is way too heavy to hang. Definitely a stand up. Trying to avoid it being in the tent. I mean, this thing is 40" tall and 14" wide. Heavy!)
8" Vortex 747 CFM Powerfan
8" insulated flexible ducting
8" Air Cooled XXXL Magnum Reflectors w/ ballast and 1000 HPS bulb (x2)
For now the items listed above are the things I currently have and am trying to work with.
To my understanding, with a 747 CFM fan, I am able to push or pull(depending on what you recommend) enough of the air to replace it as recommended by all growers.
I tried leaving one of the 8" reflector lights open on one end, then connected in the middle to another 8" reflector light and then ducting it out of the tent into the 8" inline fan that is sitting right on top of the carbon filter. I have ducting going out of the bottom of the 8" hole in the tent, into the register on my floor pulling cold air from the basement into the tent(no fan, kind of depending on the only fan, but feel that I may need another fan to help push air in). It is at 93 degrees in the tent after leaving it on for 2 hours. I was thinking that if I bought another fan and had it help pull air from the basement into the tent that I would be good? But then what about being sure the air is clean enough? Will the carbon filter and 8" fan outside of the tent be doing what it is meant for?
Any ideas? What more should I buy? What should I change? I don't mind spending more on a few things if need be. Although, I know I am very close to completing the air exchange and temperature control in the tent.
All advice will be appreciate it. Effort means more than results in most cases, other than growing stuff!
I am aware that my post is very common. I just think that every case is unique and needs specific advisory.
Thank you!!
