Need help with remote ballast

I need to know if I need to use high temp wire from ballast to bulb,the reason i ask is its only a 70 watt hps security light.I know I would have to use high temp wire for a 250 or better just not sure on this.Im trying to finish the build and dont have cash for the high temp wire right now.Thanks in advance.

Standard SO cord is rated for almost 200°....

Hogdady,Thanks for the quick reply.Im still not sure what SO cord is.What gauge should I use?Can I use strand wire or does it need to be solid wire?Thanks in advance.

SO stands for service, oil resistant. Most commercial grade extension cords are SO or SOW cord. 16/3 (16 gauge, 3 conductor) would be sufficient for your application. SO cord is stranded, not solid.
