Need help starting grow room!

I need help setting up my first grow room. i have a cubbard about 2.5 feet high 1.5 deep and 3 feet wide, is this do-able to grow. it has a 18" tube light at the top. what else do i need to grow. i also have a pretty big closet and a lot of space in my room, would the cubbard be the best bet if im trying to keep it hidden.

Welcome to 420. A little tight on the cupboard space, let's look at what your closet has to offer? How many plants are you looking to grow? How long would you grow these for? Soil or Hydro growb? Lighting, what are your thoughts on what you'd use? What is your budget to make this happen?

Just one or two. i have like 200 dollars to spend. soil is easier right? and closet is pretty big like 6 feet wide 3.5 feet deep 9 feet high.

1 or 2? ok, how much are you looking to yield?
I am a soil grower only.
The closet sounds nicer and bigger to utilize even for 2 or so.
200 is a managable budget, yes.
