Re: Need Help please...

Thanks for reply,i'm in soil, using tap water left out over night or longer.
Have sprayed the leaves with light on but not all the leaves are like this and this is a bottom leaf. The plants are also very pale green. I should get some pics of the whole plant yes? And how much epsom salt per gallon?

thanks

Re: Need Help please...

since u are using soild and tap water i and wonder if the ph is to low and ur locking out calcium ?? the lower one are usually the tell tale signs of impending problem that may spread up. how tall is it ? what kinda lighting r u using ? how far is the light from the leaf. most of my lower leaves died off as the were not getting any light. i got a 250 over head and a 4x4' t8s verticle and just added 2 sprial cfls to get some light to the lower end of my plant. can u get a reading on ur ph ? what kinda soil are u using what nutes ? we need more info

Re: Need Help please...

My room is 4.5-5.5-8.5 with a 400hps and some 4 foot cfl's first night had the light 30'' away next night down to 18'' and now back up to 24''. haven't used much for nute as there still young. 10-15-10 at half strength once. The only thing i have to check the ph is a fish aquarium water checker, dose that get a good reading? soil is sunshine mix 4.

I think i need to get them help soon or they will die shortly. I have some dol lime and some bone meal combo thing and some epsom salt, should i transplant and give them all this?

thank you for your time!

Re: Need Help please...

Its def cal def and looks as if the ph is not right as well. first take a ph sample from the present pots runoff. then yes repot it in bigger pot, with the lime and bone meal mixed in the soil. if the ph is low the lime will help, its kinda not very mobile but it will help over the long road. A cal mag liquid would be the best for quick acting. Yes the fish checker will work pour a 6.5 ph water solution into the new pot and take a run off sample and see what ur ph comes out ? 6.5 is rec on soil grows. I would wait and see ur true ph b 4 adding all the stuff. adding lime to an already low would really hurt, re pot them in bigger pots and look at ur roots see if there are bound in the present pots ?? I just potted my 3rd bean and see is just spitting out her 2nd set of 5 and her roots grew from the starter cube(1.5") to the bottom of my pot (12" desk top trash can) in 4 days. think it maybe time for the 5gal bucket or i been looking into those air pots. and i saw some where here, a guy using a 1.5l air pot in another bigger 10l air pot, looked kinda cool but they re suppose to stop the roots from getting root bound

Re: Need Help please...

Keep in mind if the deficiency is showing due to ph lockout or salt buidlup lockout, adding the locked out nute wont help.

Thanks for the help, today i picked up a ph probe and the only reading i end up with was 6.5. Last night i transplanted 4 of my clones and added lime, bone, epsom salt. I'm guessing the salt was a bad idea??
I also picked up some good compost and sea soil should i use this as well as the lime and bone meal?

thx

my friend, that is not calcium deficiency. You have a number of micro element deficiencies, as well as potassium.
I think it is because the roots are too wet;
or it is a ph problem.
what is your watering cycle?
wait until the first few inches of your soil are dry before u water.
put your finger into the soil to feel.
when you over water, the roots can not stay healthy as the water displaces all the air in the medium, with out oxygen the roots cannot stay healthy or absorb nutrients.
i think this is your problem, but it is a not calcium deficiency, but a number of deficiencies all together - a sign of a ph problem, but the dead tissue on the edge of the leaves and the yellowing, lead me to think it is too much water.
I hope this helps,

Well testing the soil with the ph probe is a little tricky but the readings i did get where 6.5. Transplanted all the clones into 1 gallon pots with all the good stuff i had. I'm hopping they will come around? It would be nice if you are correct about the over watering, since i plunged in the 400w i've been watering every day to every other day.

thanks for the input

Just thought it would be good to update the sick plants that needed help from 420 Mag. Thanks guys, its turning out better overall then expected. Here's a couple of picks 39 days into flower...
