Mystery Seeds Supposed Autoflower

Hello. If you know who I am then you know I'm just starting to learn to indoor grow. Since I was practicing I took some seeds from someone who said " they were autoflowers " but didn't know the strain. Well, I had a really hard time getting any of them to germinate. I planted 4 seeds at a time about 5 days apart... I finally ended up with 3 plants each about a week apart in growth. the rest didn't come up. Now it's been at least 9 weeks for plant one and still no pistils. Could this be a nutrient problem? I believe I have a magnesium deficiency and I am brewing a good Nute tea and added some Epsom salt... also.. shouldn't they be taller? perhaps I may just have my nutes out of whack? perhaps they're not autos? I probably need a soil test. :eye-roll: Taking advice..

Here's what I do know

Soil is Super Soil mix with all the goodies
PH 7
Nute Teas weekly with high Nit, Med Phos Med Potass roughly 12- 6 -6 added cal, mag, iron with Marphyl Soil Enhancer
Compost Tea every two weeks including crab meal, seagull guano, bone meal, blood meal, worm castings, alfalfa, Molasses, and Mighty Mycorrhizae
Light is Mars Hydro TSW 2000watt 18/6 light schedule
Temp stays within 75-83 degrees
Humidity varies from 36%-40% day 38%-42% night ( roughly )

week 9 and no signs of flowering... maybe I should adjust the light schedule and see what happens??

Thanks for the thoughts!!! :) :tommy: LIV

Hey Logan, sorry but don’t think it’s a nute problem preventing flower, yep believe our good friend Rexer nailed it - 9 weeks and still no pistils, she’s prolly a photoperiod.

one thing that sounds off is ph 7, is that soil ph? How did you arrive at that number? Was it by using a soil probe type meter? Or is that the ph of your nute water?

Spitballing here and obviously the choice is yours…. but don’t think I would flip lights just yet, maybe wait to see if others are auto or not? Anyway whatevs you decide we will back you up!

Your plants look great for sure, excellent work!!

Hi, okay I check my water PH with a kit and I have a soil probe to test the soil. The water is 7 and the soil reads the same. According to what charts I've looked at and articles I've read, with all organic materials, 7 is fine. I may try lowering it a little this week just to see if it changes anything. This is all pretty new to me and I'm in the fun, experimental growing stage. lol. I made one change.... i increased the humidity to 55%
