My1stGro IS NOW BACK WITH A NEW UPDATE - New Member & Grower Journey Journal HELP!!
HEY GUYS IM BACK I KNOW I HAVEN'T BEEN CONSISTENT BUT I HAVE BEEN WORKING. ANYWAYS I JUST RAN INTO A MASSIVE PROBLEM THE BABIES ARE GETTING TO BIG FOR MY GROW BOX, AND FROM MY RESEARCH I NOW KNOW THAT THEY WILL DOUBLE IN SIZE DURING FLOWERING I STARTED FLOWERING MONDAY AND SO FAR I'VE CONFIRMED THAT I HAVE ONE FEMALE OUT OF 5. I HAVE A 6400K 125W CFL LIGHT AT FULL SPECTRUM AND RECENTLY ADDED 2 55W 2700K 3800 LUMENS CFLS AND TWO 23W 1600 LUMENS CFL'S A TOTAL OF 10,200 LUMENS TO MY GROW BOX PLUS MY OWN HOME MADE c02 EITHER WAY I'M RUNNING OUT OF SPACE AND AM IN PANIC I HAVEN'T PURCHASED MY GROW TENT AS OF YET BUT I GUESS I HAVE TO NOW... RIGHT ANYWAY I TOPPED A FEW OF THE PLANTS AND TIED A FEW DOWN OTHER THAN THAT IM RUNNING OUT OF OPTIONS ANY ADVICE FROM THE CANNABIS GODS???!?!? I ALSO FLUSHED THE BABIES OUT 3 DAYS AGO I THINK THEY HAD A BIT OF NUTRITION LOCK. WILL START ADDING THE TRANSITIONAL BLOOM NUTE'S FROM MY GENERAL HYDROPONICS FLORA DUO THIS MONDAY THEN WILL CONTINUE AT FULL STRENGTH HELP GUYS HELP!!!! P.S HOW ARE THEY LOOKING SO FAR???

If I where you, I would SCROG them now, and flip to flower in a day or 2 or so. SCROG means putting a net over it (like a luggage net for in the car) and attaching that a little below canopy hight. Then you bend branches horizontally, and create a SCReen Of Green.
Take a look here for some ideas on what I mean:

Another option is supercropping, explained here:

You can use the crimping technique at a certain hight to make that the top of your canopy .. just crimp, bend the top end of the branch horizontal, and tie down as it will try to erect itself again. Later on this branch might need support when buds and gravity pull on it
I'd start with a screen, and bending that growth sideways instead of up.
Why are you cutting off the end of your fanleafs ? Is that a middle way between defoil and not doing anything ?

...another option is topping them, using the tops as clones and letting the side branches catch up .. it will get a little wider, and you have gotten rid of excess hight.

Both planet j's options are great options. I'd get a tent sooner then later so your final footprint is set and then you'll truly know your limitations with size and training.

BIG NEWS!!! 3 OUT OF 5 BAG SEEDS ARE GORGEOUS FEMALES I GOT RID OF THE 2 MALES SOON AS I SPOTTED NUT SACKS LOL ANYWAY THE BABIES ARE NOW IN THEIR 3RD WEEK OF FLOWER 22 DAYS TO BE EXACT AND IM ALREADY SPOTTING TRICOMES AND THEY ARE LOVING THE FEED. WITCH CONSIST OF GH FLORA DUO PART A & B , LIQUID KOOL BLOOM, AND GRANDMA'S MOLASSES. IM SO EXCITED ABOUT MY 1ST GRO!! BIG THANK YOU TO EVERYONE THAT HELPED ME UP TO THIS POINT. WHAT IM REALLY EXCITED ABOUT IS MY 2ND GROW WILL BE MORE FOCUSED WILL BE GETTING MORE NUTES, 600W MH AND HPS FOR A 4X4 GROW TENT. SOON AFTER I WILL BE SAVING UP FOR A 700W LED GROW LIGHT BUT QUICK QUESTION GUYS.... IS THE MARS II 700W GOOD I KNOW ITS A BIT OLDER BUT IF YOU GUYS GIVE ME THE OK. Looking good there If you can not afford something in the range of a P300 Platinum LED, or a BudMaster new generation, then go for HPS/MH if you can handle the heat. Use a cooling hood for the HPS/MH, else you will get heat issues in such a small tent. I would opt for a 400W HPS/MH in a 4x4 I think.
I bought a second generation LED tho, second hand .. full spectrum, you can see what it does in my current journal, big tent .. it's a 4x4 It's looking good I think, but I do not think one can compare it to a HPS/MH. The newest generations LED's, are better. They are also expensive. PAR rating is what is important here. Photo Active Radiation. A full spectrum LED panel, will have a much higher PAR rating then a HPS or a MH. But the light intensity of the later is much higher, as is light penetration.
With LED's you should consider a SCROG or at least LST to get as much light on the lower nodes as possible, or set up side lighting. LED is cheaper in operating, and produces very little heat.
I have no experience with the MARS LED's .. I can not advice you on it.
Also, your bold and way to large red letters, are hurting my eyes.

I did some research here at several Mars II and Platinum journals and got a P450 3month ago and got 1 P150 just veg and will order an other P 450 in 1-2 month.
I cant speak for Mars II but I like my Platinum
With LED I try to get an more even canopy with toping and LST.
The front left I just harvested the top buds yesterday
150g wet
I did also see that Mars II did a good job at the journals, got no experience with Hps but think on smaller indorgrows LED are better.

you just inspired my to get some hps/mh so for my 2nd grow witch should begin march 1st i will be getting a 600w hps/mh for a 4x4 tent!! Thank you for sharing your amazing journal aswell #thecannabisgod
