My poor hempy grow

Thought I'd show off my shitty hempy grow on a budget.

No ph testing
No ppms or EC testing
No carbon filter
No air exchange

Just a fan & a light.

&

Just 5 drops of ph down into my soft scottish tap water along with 2ml per litre of vitalinks hydro max bloom A & B

& 0.5ml per litre of vitalinks cal mag.

90% Perlite 10% Vermiculite in 7 litre square pots.

The 5 in hempy are Dutch passions cbd auto white widow = 21 days

The other 5 in are in Jack's magic soil & are going outside to my secret outdoor location. They're seedsmans auto Northern lights. = 13 days old

They're all under 4 x 120w led quantum boards hung @ 12 inches

I'm going to get slated for this grow 😂

It looks like my shitty hempy grow has perked up 😊

A few things I've done.

Got a pH device so I've able to dial in the nutrient solution to 5.8

I noticed the Perlite was turning green. So I scraped an inch of it away and laid down some coco.

The coco has also perked up the RH which is another bonus.

One of the plants in the middle looks far too stretched

Can any tell me please.... Do they need to be more green.

don't worry about the algae on the perlite. it does nothing harmful. normally you can follow the regular nute schedule in hempy. depending on your nutes you might want to adopt a f/f/w approach, to avoid lockout. i'm not sure how vitalinks stuff is chelated.

7L is a good size, you can grow monster size hempys in that. i normally use a 2L or 5L bucket. general rule of thumb on hempy 1L = 1gal size as far as plant and production.

Cheers dude. Next time I won't worry about the algae. However it's definitely perked up the RH.

Does F F W mean feed feed water.?

On another note because I have no air exchange I was thinking about pumping some Co2 into my grow room. So would yeast and sugar do the trick. I think I'll try that...

And on another note my question on are they green enough has gone unanswered so I guess they're green enough. I must say though I'm absolutely delighted with how they have turned out. The one in the middle which is stretching like an erection doesn't concern me. The other 4 are what I'm paying attention to the most.

This thread is almost turning into a grow diary.

Cheers 420 magazine.

it will, maybe too high, especially in flower. you don't want mold or bud rot.

yes. f/f/w or f/f/f/w is often good in coco or hempy.

get exhaust to outdoor and a scrubber going stat. you can't bottle them up. co2 doesn't work in that context. plus you might not have the light or other conditions to support it.

there's loads better ways to get there before considering c02. fill some jars first.

they are doing decent for sure.

edta chelation is controversial. it's not a natural process. it employs an acid to bind molecules. i'm assuming you are using salt based liquid bottle nutes.

Good evening it's day 80 and I was curious to know if I should harvest these plants. I don't have a loupe so I can't tell.

I noticed that some of the tips are burnt but I'm not sure why as I've been feeding quarter strength of the recommend dose of nutrients with calmag on every feed @ a pH of 5.8 which was increased to 6.2 during flower. Probably something to do my ec I suppose.

The smell coming from these is absolutely beautiful. Looks like a poor yield but this should keep me going until Christmas. 🤩
