My plant popping nanners?

Looking at the plants this morning I see something that was not there before. Has this plant popped out "nanners"?

Unfortunately I think you are correct.
I’d pull her out before she/ he spreads pollen.
Sorry buddy.

Stay safe

It takes about a week after the ball forms for it to open and start showing the banana looking parts. Then several days to another week for the pollen to start being released. Royal Queen Seeds has a blog showing a mature male flower releasing pollen in the wind.

If the number of male flowers is not bad it is possible to pinch them off.

What I have noticed is that if the plant starts producing them about 3 weeks after the flowers start to show then it will do it again about 3 weeks after getting rid of the first batch. And again in another 3 weeks after pinching off the second batch. About the worst amount of seeds I got when I had plants show those pesky male flowers was about 5 to 7 seeds per ounce at harvest. Any cutting which became a clone from that plant will do the same thing on the same schedule.

Finding a banana coming through a ripening bud is a different situation and so far has not been any problem so I do not worry much about those.

Sometimes I'll get them around week 4 in flower on some plants. If it's just a couple here and there I'll spray the male flowers with water and pluck them off. Some of my most potent strains have had a couple of sacs.
It looks like it didn't hurt your trich production on the plant. Which some nasty herms do.

Always check plants underneath around week 4 in flower with fems and Regular seeds.
Clones are less likely to herms.
Cheers, sorry about your loss

If I was more experienced I might have tried that but I freaked out & decided to cull 1 to try & save 3. I'm not that concerned with big yield

Agreed.
"No four, no more". Bye bye Hermie.

Wow. Just WOW to the system that grows such HUGE roots!
Sorry bout the hermie. But you dust yerself off and git the next lovely girl in there. Seriously, I’m so very sorry. It’s hard when you taken care of yer baby for that long. :sorry:

Yeah thanks. Root porn is real. That's what made me go with the 13 gallon pots instead of the 5 gallon buckets I originally purchased. PA Hydroponics designed & built the system, I just put it together. Crazy root system. No wonder they grow so fast..
Today's pics show one of my plants (sibling to the mango kush that hermed on me) is really getting frosty. Zoom in..

It’s snowing! There is just something about this beautiful plant, cannabis. There is beauty in every stage of its growth from dry seeds, to spouts, to vegging wonders, to the beginnings of youth to growing into a young lady (like here) and transpiring into a woman, and finally a woman of age, all knowing and in the prime of her life, shining like the brightest star… their lies the most beautifully developed woman…

LIKE ME! HaHaHaHa:rofl:

Seriously tho, I love to look at the glorious beauty of all stages of cannabis. I wonder what it is about this plant, well, I guess I smoke a bit and then I remember exactly why I love this special plant. :green_heart:
