hello everyone! i usually dont post in the grow forum but last night i decided to plant my first seed and figured id need some help and see what u guys think of my setup so far. i dont have money to spend on equipment so my setup is pretty ghetto but im hoping it will be ok. anyway im using overgro soil that my mom had layin around. i dont know how old it is but it could be a few years. does that matter? for a pot im using a medium sized dunkin donuts ice coffee cup. once it gets bigger i plan on switchin to somethin else. for a light source i just have it sittin on this little roof overhang thing. it gets plenty of sunlight but the shingles get kinda hot so i dunno if thats a advantage of disadvantage. i can only keep it there for a little bit tho because its in plain sight to everyone in the neighborhood. oh yeah i forgot to mention i still live at home so my mom could see it too. so once it gets like 3-6 inches tall i plan on moving it inside on a window sill of this room that nobody goes in. the room is pretty warm and dry so i was thinkin thats probably good. one last question i had is how do u water your plants. i watered it a little this morning and like the water was like a blob on top of the soil. it didnt sink in like i was expecting it too. i was movin the cup around and tryin to pat it down but that didnt work either. i feel like a dumbass cuz im sure any idiot could water a plant but not this idiot. anyway any feedback would be appreciated.
