My 1st Attempt At AutoFlowers!

Awww that sucks !

It's absolutely freezing down here but I REFUSE to turn the heating on yet. Especially with how much energy prices are at the moment.

IT'S A JOKE ! ... I'd rather go sit in the bathroom with the little ladies since it's like Barbados in there compared to the living room LOL

I haven't turned my heat on yet either...I have 6 inch ducting blowing into the kitchen/living room area (via a 200 cfm fan and a 450 cfm fan) as soon as the lights come on it warms right up :)

Haha that's a great idea Jay ! ...

I know Cult mate ! ... I'm going to pick up my HPS tonight anyway so I'm guna try them under that and see how they like it. The lights I have now are always kept no more than 2 inches away but they are only 2x 60w. I had to give back my 125w Envirolight just before I made this journal which was kinda sad for me but oh well! ... I'll be germinating the next batch of Auto's in about 4 weeks so I'll have a much better set up for that time around :)

My funds are very limited at the moment and I don't have a problem with having tallish plants as I have plenty of room! :)

Thanks for looking out for me though mate much appreciated !

u def want to change ur veg lights mate. go with a 250w cfl. they are very very stretchy in the pics and thats because light isnt intense enough and is too far away.
That explains the difference in my grow this time around Cult. I upgraded to higher wattage cfl's & added a T5 to my tent. Everything's bushy & short now.

I was reading another forum not long ago and this guy had a problem, he put it down to using clear cups, what was said is when the roots get to the sides they are exposed to the light that stunted the growth,

i veg with 250cfls or 600w mh/hps depending on the set up and location of grow. Use 250w cfls or MH for best and fastest veg results. so many people say the lights they use are fine but its taking them weeks to get a plant that would take half the time using these lights. Usually i have my cuttings in aerocloner under 250w cfl then soon as it comes out goes under 600w or in some cases 1000w mh.

using clear cups is a bad idea, it will light prune the roots and algae will grow in the media. Always use light proof containers.

Thanks Carl have some reps!

Hi Treehorn and thanks! Great to have you aboard! Reps for you too!

Umm ok guys I have an annoucement to make ...

THE HPS HAS LANDED AT THE DR PEPPER HQ YAAAAAAYYYY WOOOOOOO!!!

I'm a very happy man indeed!

Question ... Recommended distance between my ladies and the light?

Also update to come as soon as someone can help me :)

Many thanks!

What else you got???

So you interupted our flow of friendly banter so that we could help you by waiting until you post pictures of your new lamp.

Couldn't you just have posted pictures and then said "hey! Look at my pictures" ?

:scratchinghead:

Do you need imaginary moral support to unpack the lamp?

Kayak :lot-o-toke:
