If the elite growers here don't mind I have some questions and concerns:
First off some here knows that it's been 30 years since I did a grow and wanted to come back after reading the valuable information here and Atmosphere's grow who is a student of SpeesCees, you probably have seen this post: no-mercy-supply-12-12hours-7-harvests-year-system
Now for the questions:
I personally have never let my indoor grows get above 36" I like tight internodes. What is your opinion for ideal height of a plant for an indoor grow?
Currently I have 5 plants that are averaging 23" tall right now at 35 days, I started 12/12 HPS from seed no veg period, I am figuring 28 to 36" average after they are done stretching. Has any of the guru's here grown 12/12 HPS from seed no cropping, LST, etc... what was your average height of the plants????
I know that veg period is for height and root growth but the 12/12 HPS from seed produced some outstanding root growth (saw it when I was pulling males) and now during the pre-flower period they are showing daily growth both ways height and flowering

So, since they are 23" tall average now, I figure about another week of height growth before they stop, which at their current rate of 1/2 to 1" new height per day the goal of 28 to 36" does not seem unrealistic.
Also, Boss suggests that I trim the "base leaves" 4 to 5" so I get more top cola growth, my concern with this is will it shock the plants and stop pre-flower production, and will I benefit from it? Or do I just let them fall off like they currently are letting nature take its course??
Your thoughts???
Thanks for your valuable input in advance
