MrBubbles Perpetual Grow

Edit: The way and material used is going to depend on if it is dabbable or not, but on a good note, everytime I did qwiso I got a product I would dab :) just make sure to do some major research if you are planning on extraction, or send me a PM and I can give you a list of do's and don't I have found :)

Morning CA,
That would be a great thread topic, I know I would be very interested :thumb:

Goodmornin' Heady! The only issue is the whole extraction thing is it's quite dangerous, I have been asked/told to not publicly talk about the process here on 420magazine, these sorts of things need to be done in pristine conditions, something like a lab. We don't want people getting hurt following a tutorial on 420masgazine, that would be giving us a bad image :) Although, if you want to send me a pm I can surely talk with ya explain the safest route I have found to work for me :Namaste:

I make concentrates long safe tedious tasks....I am always looking for new info.

We recently(mrs heady and I) have someone asking us about RSO and I will attempt it once my stash is re-upd.

I certainly understand the safe issues, we get at least a motel home or blow up 2/3 times a yr around here from the DARWIN club.

I would love any info you could share...pm's welcomed :high-five:

A lot going on since the last update actually. I have gotten a lot of flak for how I update my pics on here. I do everything by iPhone and my app ForumRunner only allows me to upload pics onto this forum as links to a photobucket account. People keep reporting me for it and I've received a few friendly reminders of the photo update policy. I've responded each time explaining my predicament and have never received a response back so if any mods are reading this please look into this as it's greatly affecting my ability to continue this journal and enjoy this forum.

Anyways to give you a little update on what I have done MINUS PICS for now lol

I recently received my 420 scope and earth juice ph up crystals. The 420 scope actually works amazingly well for only $14. I do have to cut a sugar leaf off and put it on a table to be able to really focus but still a lot more accurate for harvesting vs pistils. After looking at my recent blue OG and Ultrasour buds I noticed mostly clear trichs which is expected seems how I had to harvest them earlier than planned but it does confirm my suspicion that my pistils are not accurate for harvesting because these buds have almost all red pistils.

I haven't had a chance to use the ph up crystals. As you saw on my post on your thread a few of my late girls are giving me a bit of trouble. Just like you I can't determine whether it's ph lockout or nute def. This is why I now support Ph'ng at least until your soil/feed is really dialed in which I think takes several harvests of the same strain. I think it's best to ph our feed even in soil as a precautionary measure. This makes it a lot easier to diagnose problems because it's one less thing you have to worry about. I do have to admit my other plants all seem to really be thriving so I'm still considering the possibility of nute def vs ph lockout. The only 2 plants experiencing the problems are on very late flower. The yields seem very small and the buds are near full maturity. This makes me think I did underfeed them. Unfortunately I may never know with these two plants but at least going forward I'll know for sure ph lockout isn't the issue.

I did end up rearranging things around a bit more and had made a few changes to my plans again go figure :)

As you know I was going to try and shop for supplies to either go coco or organic soil. I was lucky enough to find a bale of ProMix potting soil for $13! Of course this is the perfect base for an organic mix but I cannot find any organic supplies in my area. Not even manure or worm castings or bone meal. Just Xmas decorations everywhere lol. So I decided to go ProMix only because I think it's almost identical to coco but with better water retention. It's a completely soiless mix of peatmoss, perlite, and ph buffers. Previously I mixed this 50/50 with my organic miracle grow. Now I'm using 100% ProMix which is waaaay better. I noticed with the old mix the top soil would crust over and harden easily. Not sure if this is due to running it 3 times now or just the overall quality of the soil. Needless to say I'm done with this soil but now I have to figure out how to get rid of it. I've got a couple feet of snow in my yard so it's gotta stay inside til spring. It's about 30gallons worth. Should make some good garden soil this summer.

I looked at ordering amendments online. There's so many to choose from and confusing. Plus shipping and prices are pretty high. That's why I still want to get docs kit. At $80 for a complete amendment kit that can be used 2-3 times with 60 gal of soil seems totally worth the money. Unfortunately money I don't have now as a 2nd light is still a bigger priority so looks like it'll still be the FF trio for a few more runs yet. Hopefully the 100% ProMix will offer some improvement.

I read a really simple tea recipe made with only wormcastings and molasses but my grow big and tiger bloom would kill the beneficial organisms. (I've wondered how the beneficial organisms survive in big bloom when it's used in conjunction with the other non organic ff products.) I may slowly start to buy amendments online and slowly incorporate them into my soil mix but not sure if I should bother while I keep feeding them the grow big and tiger bloom.

Flower Tent

My flower tent is coming along nicely. My 5 gal wild Thai and agent O are massive LST bushes now. Guessing 4+ oz each but not sure about the WT as it's 100% sativa.

The agent O single cola clone is just starting the flush. Should be ready in a few weeks. Hoping for a half oz maybe even a little more. Ironically no issues on this girl even tho she's been on the same schedule as the blue Thai and Dinachem.

Next up will be the blue Thai and Dinachem. These are the two that have been giving me hell. I'm not positive how far along they are. All the pistils are turning red but the buds are very small and I think they're only at about 6 weeks. Praying for a turn around. Going to try and push them as long as I can to get them to fatten up. Again I really think I underfed these but I'm not sure seems how I fed them without Ph'ng for several weeks.

After that will be my lemon Thai Kush, 2 autoflowers (blue cheese & Berry Ryder), and 3gal WT.

Tbh I really dropped the ball the last few months. I really slacked on tracking my plants. I think this is the most important step for new growers. Make sure you keep observing your plants everyday and make sure you document everything accurately. This will save you so many headaches down the road lol.

I'm now back on track in my notebook. I had to really organize my sh*t to track all these plants. I have a lot when you add up clones, veg, and flower. It can get really confusing and difficult to remember without recording things in detail. Unfortunately I'm only able to track new plants so my next few plants I harvest will still really be a guessing game. I've def learned my lesson :D

Veg Tent

I rearranged my veg tent again. I ended up putting the shelf back in but not the cloner or humidifier. I can now run 2 trays with 18 Dixie cups each on the shelves, 20 1 gal on the floor, and 2 5 gal also on the floor. For now I'm only able to pick my biggest for 5 gal and the remaining ones will be transplanted to 3 gal when I move them to flower.

After Xmas, I'm expecting some power tools :). I'm going to finally build my table to separate the veg tent into 2 separate chambers. The bottom chamber will hold 8 5 gal and the top chamber will hold 30 1 gal. With this method I can stagger the plants in multiple ways and be able to grow 9 5gal per 4x4 square. We'll see now it works out though. I'm sure it'll change again but that's the general direction I'm heading. I'm sick of tiny plants lol. I really like the grow rate in these 5gal buckets. I can't wait til I can afford smart pots and tomato cages.

That's about it for now. Next update will have pics hopefully. :Namaste:

In your pro mix is it just amended with castings or none at all.

In soilless if the mix is left without adding some organic material to it you must make up for that by feeding with the bottle. I had really good results with the botanic are pure blend pro lineup plus ca/mg but it was not as organic as I wanted. The supersoil is much nicer without a doubt but I am sure the fox farm trio will work out good for you right now for the time being.
Docs kit is the business bro.

Just straight pro mix now. Couldn't find any amendments locally. Even the greenhouses didn't have crap lol

Trust me I can't wait to test the kit bro. I'm a recipe kind of guy. I like instructions vs improv lol.

have you tried to upload your photographs to your computer then uploading them to the forum? I use Easy Exif Delete to delete exif data and photoscape to add text to photographs. https://www.easyexifdelete.com https://www.photoscape.org

Thanks for the info John! I'm actually having trouble uploading from my iPhone. I don't have a lot of free time to access my personal pc at home but I have plenty of free time on my phone during work lol.

I've actually been contacted by a moderator who's trying to help me to get the ForumRunner photo upload to work. Fingers crossed we can get that to work otherwise I'm afraid pics will be far and few between on here.

I finally got some time to upload pics using my laptop. I have two sets. The first set of pics were taken on 12/15 and the second set was taken 12/21. I still need to take new pics of the flower tent as there has been a lot of improvement since 12/15.

Flower Tent (12/15/13)

Here are my two auto flowers. If you guys remember these came from the seeds of my first grow that went hermie. So far these two are both 100% female. They each came off of a Berry Ryder and Blue Cheese. I'm unsure if they were crossed with another strain or if they self pollinated so I'm very interested in the results. They are both stunted. Mainly due to me not taking care of them very well and transplanting. I'm more interested in whether they turn out female and flavor. I have hundreds of other seeds to use up that came from this same hermie grow.

Here is my next plant up for harvest. Its a small clone off of a Agent O. I put it straight into flower right after rooting as an experiment. I am not overly impressed with the results. The bud is very frosty and smells amazing but its not nearly as large or as dense as the larger previous version of this strain. I should be harvesting her around the first of the year. Just flushing with water and molasses for now. The pistils are a lot more orange now since these pics were taken.

My next plant for harvest will most likely be my Blue Thai. I've really been struggling with her the last few weeks due to a ph lockout. As you can see by the spotting on the leaves and lime green color she's short on N, K, P, Ca, and Mg. All nutrients locked out at a low PH which is exactly what I've been doing. I had hoped my soil could buffer my feed when I ran out of PH up. I'm not sure whether its my soil mix or my old FF nutrients. Either way I now have Earth Juice PH crystals. I also included epsom salt and molasses in her recent Ph'd feeding. Not sure if it's in time to improve this girl much more before harvest. Hoping to push her as long as possible. Maybe January 10th for harvest date.

Next up will then be my Dinachem. I have also struggled with her from what I believe was a low PH nutrient lockout. She seems to mainly have suffered from low N. Hoping I have more of a chance at fixing her seems how shes a week or so behind the Blue Thai.

Here's one of my favorite plants to date. This is an Agent O which was transplanted from a 3gal to a 5gal at flower. Guessing she's about 4 weeks into flower with 4 weeks left. No issues with her. Shes loving life :)

Here is probably my most anticipated strain. Its my Landrace Seeds Wild Thai. I received 2 regular freebies which turned out to both be female! It is my fasting rooting clone and it's the fastest growing strain I have seen to date. After seeing the results on Any2's journal with the Wild Thai strain I'm definitely looking forward to how this one turns out. I have two plants flowering. 1 has been Lst'd in a 3 gal container. The other has been topped/pruned and is in a 5 gal container. I have tons of clones of this strain that I am struggling to to keep under control in my veg tent lol. Guessing these are at 3 weeks and 4 weeks flowering each. These two have changed dramatically since these pics were taken. Hopefully I can get some new ones for you guys tonight.

My first attempt at QWISO hash oil. I had a nice glob of it in a metal measuring cup. It wasn't very much so instead of putting the measuring cup on a cup warmer to evaporate the remaining water I put it on a wax sheet. I should've stopped there but instead I had the genius idea of pressing the oil between the wax and freezing it. I was hoping it would become a patty almost. It clearly didn't work out that way lol. Instead I took it out, opened it, and let it air evaporate for 3 days. Now I use it to line our jays and occasionally to top a bowl. It adds an extra kick. The flavor isn't great imo but I used dried sugar leaf trim and 91% ISO. I did get drop a view particles in there as you can see. Just practicing with small batches of low quality trim for now. Trying to perfect my technique for when I start to use flowers to make RSO.

The last of the Blue OG and Ultra Sour at least until the clones are ready. It went pretty fast. We definitely preferred the Blue OG so far. The flavors are still coming through during the cure. The Ultrasour does get better every day. Both are an up sativa high which is great for our anxiety especially considering all the stuff were going through right now.

For the alcohol hash, Relaxed Lester has a walk through in one of his journals. Just have to say I stopped making Gumby Hash.

Once those gorgeous plants of yours come to fruition, you're going to be having trim coming out of your ears.

One love and "GO HAWKS!".

Thanks for the heads up. I've seen tons of different tutorials and recipes for different concentrates. I'm always interested in learning different ways though. This run was kind of a practice run for how I plan to make my RSO and BHO. It gave me a chance to test the equipment and setup before I try doing a big run. I'll be doing a few other small runs in the next month before I make my first large batch of RSO.

The application part is where I struggle. I think this is mainly because I usually have very little trim and far in between. If I even had enough to do two runs I think I could do a lot better by learning from the first run. Hopefully I'll have trim coming out my ears soon and then I'll get plenty of practice :)

I was able to take some pics of the plants in flower last night. Sorry a lot of them turned out kind of blurry.

Could you mark the CBD Crew Critical Mass so I may see it. I am also interested in growing CBD Crew Critical Mass!

In the picture where I mentioned the seedlings were in the second row, the CBD critical mass is the largest on the far left. The one in the middle is the Medicann Blue Blood and the one on the far right is the Medicann Bubba Kush. I'm really looking forward to all 3 of these strains. I have high hopes for them :wood:
