Nepean-Carleton Conservative MPP Lisa MacLeod wants a registry established for homes used as grow-ops and drug labs.
MacLeod has introduced a private member’s bill to target marijuana grow-ops and protect homebuyers in Ontario.
MacLeod says Ontario currently lacks the tools to protect homebuyers or realtors from properties that were once grow-ops or drug labs.
If passed, the bill would allow realtors and future home buyers to discover the past history of the properties.
Ottawa Police list grow-ops for three months on its website.
