Mother from seed

Technically, as soon as the plant has a top with a couple leaves and whatever length of stem you feel comfortable with for your cutting, plus a couple leaves left over so you're not left with a soon-to-be-dead stem. I stated "couple" because they get produced in pairs, sort of (nodes are across from each other instead of staggered) until the plant becomes mature.

Most folks let their mother plants get a little larger though ;).

How many clones you plan to take is the biggest factor. If you are going to just want a couple every few months than it doesn't need to be very big to start. The more branches the more clones that can be taken.

to keep a "mother" a great length of time do you just keep her in veg and keep trimming her back to keep her from getting to tall?

Yes mothers stay in veg. Others who keep mothers can tell you more about how best to treat them. Finding out the best way to feed them is what you need. You want enough growth to get new clones but you don't want it growing as fast as normal plants in veg.

Light feeding n trim them down if gets to big I’m working on 5 mothers now n u can keep them in a one gal or 2 there hole live or even if it’s get to big u throw her to flower n take a clone to keep either way ur winning
