Moth larvae

Here in North Florida we have trouble with moths laying eggs in the young flowers. The larvae consume the buds and destroy them. I'm a little uncomfortable spraying the buds with insecticide. I hope there is a biologic or some other natural way to control these pests. Any help will be appreciated.

safers soap (potassium salts of fatty acids) is one possibility…. another option is BT (Bacilus Thuringiensis) prolly slaughtered the spelling….but anywho BT is biological made specifically for caterpillar & moth species.

most here advocate bud washing immediately at harvest, after budwashing let the plant drip dry for 4 hours then process as normal. Bud washing does no harm to plant biomass or trichomes… they are stuck like glue and will only come off thru application of excess heat, steam or use of a solvent
