A recent poll from UtahPolicy stated that 64 percent of Utahns support a bill to legalize medical marijuana prescribed by licensed doctors.
The poll was performed after The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints made a statement opposing SB73 and raising no objection to SB89. The statement urged members to be cautious about the legalization of medical marijuana, and to think of unintended consequences of legalization of the drug.
