Missouri House Bill 277 was dropped from schedule in May of 2009. As of yet the bill isn't on the schedule for the upcoming session. According to the MPP, several bills have been introduced to the general assembly over the last few years, but never made it out alive. There is still a chance to keep this bill alive, and it all depends on you.
If passed, HB 277 would protect Missouri's sick, severely injured, and dying from prosecution for using medical cannabis to treat their complex illness(es). The bill would allow patients with qualifying conditions to possess up to seven plants (three mature, four immature), and up to three ounces of usable marijuana.
Please contact your local Missouri representative and tell them to urge Representative Ron Richard to assign the bill to committee immediately. Your voice counts.
