MH,HPS,CFL in the same grow

i have a 3'wide x 4' 6"long x 3' 6"high space. i want to try 6 plants in this space. i have a 400 watt mh and hps. will this do for 6 or can i add a couple light socket type cfl 30 watt to help. i have one plant three weeks old in there now for first learning experience, it is doing unreal. when its done i will be ready to try 6, i hope.

Hi. Yea that should be enough. 400 watt hps give out about 55000 lumens. You have 12 square feet on growing area, which gives about 4500 lumens per square foot. You need a minimum of about 3000. 4500 is good, but you can add more if you like. At this stage it is more important to make sure you have proper ventilation and air movement before you increase lighting.
