Every year, Medical Marijuana Week focuses public attention on the need for safe access to medical marijuana.
Activists and organizations across the country use Medical Marijuana Week to educate the community and get active. ASA allies, chapters, affiliates, ambassadors, and activists hold events and activities that help with their local goals.
ASA will help you publicize your medical marijuana event (420 Magazine will do the same) if you tell us in time.
For online publicity, email us the details of your event by Monday, February 8th. We can send an email to ASA activists in your community anywhere in the U.S.
For printed publication in our regional California flier, email us the details of your event by Wednesday, January 27th.

How can you use Medical Marijuana Week in your community?
Ideas worth considering, from small to big:
A candlelight vigil in support of patients
A city or county proclamation
A lobbying visit with your elected officials
Letter-writing to medical marijuana prisoners or elected officials
An effort in support of the Truth in Trials Act
A local film showing (or a film festival!)
A protest or political action outside a DEA office or federal building
A community meeting with local law-enforcement
A medical marijuana teach-in
A panel discussion on the science behind medical marijuana
A guided tour of a leading medical marijuana dispensary for local officials
A fundraiser (maybe even for ASA!)
A party for all of your past hard work

Medical Marijuana Week originally came out of California's Proposition 215 -- thus the annual date February 15th. Now on its eighth year, Medical Marijuana Week is a national phenomenon, and we encourage you to join us. We’d also like you to consider donating a portion of any Medical Marijuana Week proceeds you fundraise to ASA.
