Medical Marijuana Shop Raided In Kearny Mesa

Federal agents raided a Kearny Mesa medical marijuana dispensary Tuesday afternoon, authorities said Wednesday.

Agents with the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration served a search warrant about 3 p.m. at the Green Tree Solutions shop on Clairemont Mesa Boulevard, near Convoy Street, DEA Special Agent Amy Roderick said.

Marijuana, records, edibles and other items were confiscated, Roderick said.

The raid was part of a crackdown on medical marijuana outlets announced in October by U.S. Attorney Laura Duffy.

Owners of the outlets and landlords where they operate were given 45 days to close the dispensaries or face prosecution and possible forfeiture of their property. California law allows medical use of marijuana, but it remains an illegal narcotic under federal law.

"We're not going to stop," Roderick said.

Last week, the DEA conducted raids at San Diego medical marijuana dispensaries in Rolando, North Park and Pacific Beach.

Couldn't agree more, the only non-violent recourse for citizens is to vote the incumbents that won't stand up for our rights, out of office. President Obama for ordering it, and Governor Jerry Brown for not standing up to them, should be the first to go, neither are on our side.
