Secretary of State Al Jaeger says he has received a proposed petition calling for the approval of the use of marijuana for medical purposes. Before the petition is circulated, Jaeger has to approve it and draft a petition title, which explains the proposal to those who are asked to sign it.
He says that will be done by next week.
Montana and 16 other states already allow use of medical marijuana.
