Medical Marijuana Info Sessions Saturday, Jan. 5

The Cannabis Career Institute is hosting a day-long information session for patients interested in becoming registered medical marijuana users and for those interested in starting a medical marijuana business Saturday, 9 a.m., at Hilton Hotel Logan Airport in Boston. The sessions will cover everything from compliance issues to tips on how to grow and cook with marijuana. According to the event's organizers, attendees will be taught how to form non-profit medical marijuana collectives, establish legal dispensaries or delivery services and other businesses. The Cannabis Career Institute admits on its website that since regulations governing medical marijuana have yet to be written by the Department of Public Health, delivery services or other kinds of businesses may not become legal in Massachusetts. The Cannabis Career Institute encourages attendance for those who want to be prepared to launch a new business once regulations are in place. Entrance to the day-long conference costs $249.
