San Diego police were on the lookout Wednesday for three gunmen who forced their way into a residential medical marijuana caregiver facility in Rolando, where they beat up two residents before fleeing with cannabis.
The home invasion robbery in the 4800 block of Filipo Street was reported at 9:45 p.m. Tuesday, according to San Diego police Officer Dino Delimitros.
A 27-year-old man home alone answered a door bell ring and was confronted by the gunmen, who forced their way in and ordered the resident to the floor at gunpoint, Delimitros said in a statement.
The resident was then blindfolded and restrained with duct tape, he said, noting around the same time, a second resident arrived home.
"The suspects beat him and taped him up, too," Delimitros said. No detailed descriptions of the gunmen were given. They were armed with handguns, Delimitros said.
