3.26.08 - Western North Carolina chapter of Americans for Safe Access goes to town hall meeting with their Congressman, Rep. Heath Shuler (D) NC.
Concerned that Shuler voted against the Hinchey-Rohrabacher "State's Rights to Medical Marijuana Act" last year, ASAWNC is determined to educate Rep. Shuler and his staff before H-R comes up for vote again this summer. The amendment is part of the Justice Appropriations Bill and will direct the federal government to stop interfering with patients and caregivers in states that have legalized medical Cannabis.
