Bangor could be joining the list of communities with a temporary ban on recreational marijuana clubs.
City councilors will meet next week to talk about whether to approve a six-month moratorium.
It comes ahead of a vote in November on a ballot question to make recreational pot legal.
If that passes, city officials would use the moratorium to draw up rules for marijuana businesses.
Other cities and towns have passed similar bans, including Brewer.
The special council meeting is Tuesday, November 1st, one week before the election.
