Maximizing 2x2 efficiency- Ideas, experiences

Kind regards to all buddy growers,, I opened this thread to try and get all the ideas from seasoned and not seasoned growers here, for myself and all others that are limited by space (tent). How to maximize yeald or in another words how to maximize space efficiency, what worked for you best, opinions on side lightning and how to set it up when the plants are from wall to wall (avoiding light burn). Best pot sizes for 2x2, is it better to have two plants or one big plant when it comes to photoperiods. All opinions ideas and experineces are welcome.

I am posting my two tents that are running 2 autos in each tent, just to show my setup roughly, they are both equip with 100 w led boards.

Wish the best grows for all and hope to talk to you :yummy:

learn how to scrog. a 2x2 is a bit small for side lighting and is really only large enough for 1 decent plant. a scrog makes maximum use of light exposure and available canopy space.

this is a one or 2 plant scrog

This really is a full tent of bud, and that light seems awsome. Thats what Im thinking when it comes to side lightning,it just to small of a tent, so it would be best to use some 150w light, like viparspectra 1500 or mars ts1000 for 2x2. I have a feeling I will loose yeald now cause of my 100w led, it just cant penetrate deep enough.

2x2 is a good general spacing for individual plants, especially photos. More than that can get crowded quickly. Training is important to maximize the space- I'm partial to Quadlining (link in my sig).
Thanks man, my next grow will be photos,I will train them for some time to fully utilize that space. I will check your grow for sure 😃

Training and veg time with photos is key to filling that space with one plant. There's lots of ways to train from a Scrog like @bluter mentioned to LST, Supercroppping, etc., but for me i like quadding the best.

Nice symmetrical plants with one topping and the LST to the pot edges and then let them grow vertical until you reach the ideal height for flip.

Thanks for tips, Maybe I will try quad, I did this autos in left tent on pics on advice or lets say in a way that Autopotomus does,if you know who Im talking about, only lst and it really works great for autos,no topping or anything like that but the plant still bushes out,it is not a chritmas tree heh

I would say my biggest issue I have is proper air movement in my 2x2. There isn't a ton of really nice space saving oscillating fan options especially for when the canopy of a Scrog or Sog gets thick. I've been using 2 of these FANS from Vivosun instead of a standard oscillating fan. They move a bunch of air and are really quiet. The best part is they don't block any of the light from above.

Thanks for a tip, I ordered some small oscillating fan for first hand, cause as of now Im on stationary pc fans, ghetto grows heh, My budget is not that great for the moment being 😅
