Massachusetts: Medical Marijuana Dispensary Proposal To Be Discussed At Meeting

The Beacon Compassion Center will hold its first community meeting on Wednesday,Sept. 16, 7-9 p.m., in the community room at the Boyden Library, 10 Bird St., Foxborough, to discuss its proposal to open a medical marijuana dispensary in the town.

Light refreshments will be served.

The purpose of the meeting is to present Beacon Compassion Center's plan to open a medical marijuana dispensary at 24 Washington St., in Foxborough, the site of a former gas station.

"The Beacon Compassion Center team is looking forward to presenting its plan to the citizens of Foxborough to open a best in class dispensary to help patients suffering from debilitating conditions and diseases," said Steve Angelo, executive director, Beacon Compassion Center.

"Public forums such as this one have allowed residents to express their concerns and find solutions that would have otherwise been overlooked without community involvement," said Nichole Snow, executive director of the Massachusetts Patient Advocacy Alliance. "MPAA appreciates the efforts of Beacon Compassion Center to involve the residents of Foxborough in the discussion," added Snow.

The Beacon Compassion Center team stresses it is committed to partnering with the Foxborough community throughout the process of opening and operating a best in class medical marijuana dispensary in Massachusetts by making public and patient safety their top priority.
