Hello all at 420, the time has come! I'd like to welcome you all to my @Mars Hydro grow journals.

Back in may Mars Hydro held a giveaway welcoming all members giving us all the chance to win a FC4800 LED grow light. By now I'm sure you guessed it lol I was the lucky random winner and I still can't believe it as I'm never that lucky! so finally my appreciation grow starts today
Unfortunately mars hydro's equipment doesn't sit on the shelf for long & the FC4800 was out of stock but we came to an agreement on a replacement light bagging myself a FC-E6500

Now before we get started.. @Mars Hydro team, thank you for my new light & all you do here at 420 as I know I'm definitely not the only member who you've blessed with such a gift. I will be forever greatfull & I have decided I will be doing two grow journals at the same time in honour of your generosity. I recently purchased a FC-E3000 to power my 3x3 (Room 2) & attempt my first RDWC so for success and I hope you enjoy the journals

Lets start with the star of the show my FC-E6500 full spectrum LED. compared to other lights I have used these lights show great quality in there brushed chrome finish. I was hesitant to try them as my last bar style was a ball ache to assemble evenly as it really played with my OCD. Mars bars Had no screws they just clipped in place and they Also had markings where to place them evenly so as weird as it sounds this gave me inner peace light weight, removable driver & WiFi with smart app .. Depending on my temps during winter I may keep the driver attached but we're starting with it off.

So yesterday on 21st of September, 9 seeds was dropped into cup's of water and they will sit here for around 24hours then be placed between two pieces of tissue. Fingers crossed we get 100% germination. If not I have a few extra clones coming that can fill in. Once my seeds are in tissue I will fill my cups with Coco ready for planting.

The room is warm and lights are out so let's see if we get any action tomorrow

Good evening, just a few more pictures. It's been 24hours and all 9 seeds sunk to the bottom so tissue and container they go

I'd better get the Coco ready.. will start with Solos in a saucer hand feeding until up pot. Then will install my irrigation and drainage.

Good evening 420! Quick update, so we're currently 24 hours in water then 24 hours in tissue. I think 12 more hours in tissue then time to get the solos ready one lung buster seed left to pop.

Evening grow family. Another quick update so we ended up doing 48 hours in tissue as the wife had me doing home DIY lol
I haven't flushed my RODI system through yet so couldn't use it today. I gave my Coco a final wash and squeezed it dry then filled some solo cups. I mixed tap water with calmag and some Rhizotonic then watered untill run off.. after a good few hours with a fan over the solos I dig my little hole and planted my seeds. Please excuse the make do cups as I ordered the wrong ones and couldn't wait for more .

Light schedule set to 18/6 and that's all I can do it's down to them now.. I'll be back once some heads pop through the soil

Good evening Growmies another 24 hours all my seeds have broken surface! their really not hanging about that's for sure Out of the 9 seeds I have one lung buster that's slightly behind but hopefully it doesn't show come veg now a few things..

1. My light is on minimum 10% and 80ppfd at the cups so I will get that up to 150 tomorrow.​
2. A few leaf tips are white which is a sign of low temperature so I'll get my heater on.​
3. I'd better get the rest of my Coco rinsed and and in pots as we're not hanging around over here!​

I think that's all guy's oh wait how rude of me a few pictures, I will get them in their groups for better photos Tomo.

Aaaaand we're back! Enjoying the short and sweet posts same time tomorrow? just hope their always bearing good news
Today all day my lights have been at 17% which gave me around 140ppfd, some of my seedlings are showing a bit of stretch so tomorrow I will go up again and probably max them at 250ppfd. Im sure the stretch is just the strain as it's the same strain that stretched but we'll see. I have taken the domes off for a few hours to let the Coco breath a bit basically I needed to do something

I hope all your gardens are flourishing! Oh and I didn't notice any more white tips so that's good news now a few group photos

I just raise or lower from the light intensity.

That's because your a OG bruddah it's really not necessary but it's a grow J about the light, I should really measure my height too you can wait for the plant to say no or more and adjust them but ppfd is a great guide for new growers.
Oh and I don't know how you rais and lower such a big light lol I was going to keep it on minimum and drop it but that's effort

I take the load off the light with 1 hand before adjusting the ratchets with the other. It takes some practice. Count the clicks.

Morning stinks, I hadn't heard of any of them untill early this year and they had great feedback so I went shopping

For me it's more of the access to the ratchets, the light is so big I can't reach over it so I have to climb in hunched over. Lights are on so can't look up just feel through the bars oh and this is at max hight lol so lower down I'd look like something from a horror movie

Aaah yes I'm with you, it definitely makes sense I've never really thought about it just dive in cheers bro I like your raised tray aswell when you start out. Mine are basically on the floor so that would save me going so low also my brains ticking now

Evening 420, Happy Sunday! I hope your well rested. I thought I'd give a quick update as it's beed five days since my seedlings broke out. I haven't even been in there since last update just unzip there ok then zip up but today they was doing a gangster lean . I added more Coco to help prop them back up and watered untill run off. They had 100ppm potassium bicarbonate and 1ml/l calmag.

So tall but will just burry them on repot & next time I will put them on a table closer to the light. Just waiting on some more leaves now then can get feeding..

Oh and the temperature is a bit warmer as I was messing about with my DWC so had to make some changes, it went up to 32c/89f

Well it's gone midnight here so I missed top up Tuesday Today I raised them up a tad then dimmed the light, just need to find a raiser for the new tray.. or I could connect it to my DTW drain pipe u probably think this guy has to much time on his hands but I'm far opposite lol. I'll be watering again tomorrow but with different calmag as it is higher in N not that they need it yet.

Finger's crossed bro, I've seen loads grown and herd nothing but good things! Apparently solid terp profiles, especially the mind melter. One other was rated more but sold out.
Can't remember the name.
