so there gonna be 6 babies grow under Mars Pro II Epistar320? Looking forward to see that.:bravo:
I'm hoping to have about 6 plants in flower next run since I'll be getting the Mars Pro Epistar 320 and really have a decent grow going. Now that my living situation is better I want to do a lot more tests and comparisons of products and techniques ..

:circle-of-love:You did a good experiment there, you have found the ideal distance and method in growing for your own.:goodjob:We usually recommend germination 24"-30";veg:18"-24";flower:12"-18",but we knew it's still not the best.:Namaste:
wow,80w/sqf,it's powerful.:thumb:
The coverage we measured is based on the hanging distance24"-30",and turn on both switches. We usually recommend grower get bigger coverage than they need.:high-five:
Yes, you can have too much light (and heat can be a limiting factor in smaller spaces too), they can only use so much. I have experimented with hanging heights at different heights the last 3 grows with MH LEDs and have found that 20-22" above the canopy is ideal in the vegetative state (best balance of coverage and intensity). If they are put closer earlier in veg they can stress the plants, and if they are hung at closer ranges like 16" later in veg the plants become almost too compact and bushy with very tight internodes. I have being using the SCROG method, so the canopy has been quite uniform throughout the grow and track what heights the plants seem to respond to best, while producing the best results.

For flowering, I find that the ideal height is 14-16" above the canopy. When I tried 12" last round, I got some light bleaching on the tips right under the lights. I should also state that these optimal heights are for my grow space and conditions and can vary with different temperatures, growing methods, nutrient strength, strain, etc.

I like a little more light per square foot, last round I was at 80W per square foot for my SCROG canopy....I was able to pull this off due to being in a bit of a larger room vs a tent, 5 lights for optimum and even coverage (three MarsII 900's, and two Reflector 48's to cover dimmer spots on the screen), and with really good ventilation. The difference was definitely noticeable in the results.....bud density, bud size, trichome production was all way up compared to previous grows where I was at 60W/sqft. I also find that with the MarsII 900 that the optimal coverage at my hanging heights is more like 3'x3' (for flowering) rather than the recommended 3.5' x 3.5' listed on the website. YMMV

:circle-of-love:I checked your order,we will arrange to send out your light today, because of the time difference we will send you the tracking NO tomorrow.:high-five:Yesterday is our Mid-Autumn festival here,we got oneday off yesterday.:Namaste:
still processing my order....... I need It fast. I'm on my last two weeks of flower. order number 18252

In this case, may i know whether your growing space is rectangle or square? If your budget is under $300,and you would like to go with multiple lights,i would recommend you Reflector 96.mars hydro led grow light-reflector 96 .We have different price for 2pcs,you can purchase directly from our official website, the price is cheaper than other website.:high-five:
1 Reflector is with switches, you can control spectrum settings between Growth / Bloom Mode, which Mars 300 do not have.:high-five:
2 Mars 300 uses glass cover ,which will reduce some light. However, Reflector uses reflection board ,which will reflect maximum light back to the plants compared to Mars 300.:Namaste:
3 Reflector series with IR diodes,IR promote cell division,helps germination,leaf building and flowering,which Mars 300 not have.:bravo:
Not sure what size grow area I will have at this point. Can use up to about a 5x5 ft area. Will probably adjust grow area to what my lights will effectively cover. Based on the information I've gathered so far I may be better off with 2 or more lights rather than one large one. Would like to spend about $300 on lighting at tjis point.

Hi Sara its been awhile since I've been online and I haven't had a grow in over a year, but, I got a question to ask you.

I have a Reflector 96 and a Mars 2 700 (both the old model) and I can't find my spec's on them. My new setup is different than the one I had before, I'm in a 3x3 tent now vs. a 2x3 metal wardrobe, here's the question. Will these two old lights deliver more than 450w to cover this new footprint?

If anyone else have an answer to this question, please feel free to answer. I'm only trying to get at least 50w per 2ft, more is preferable

Thanks guys,

:welcome:Welcome back.:cheertwo:
May i know when did you bought your light?:high-five:
