This is my first post, but long time lurker and even longer time scientist....I have read for many hours, and clearly one of the most important aspects of indoor (and outdoor) is LIGHTS. I have been using marshydro II 400watt series, i got 2 of them. Im using them in a 2x4x5h and it works great....however, i have upgraded. Now i have a 5x5x6 tent, and want advice on lights.

I bought the 192 reflector, so far in my 5x5x6 tent i have the 2 marsII 400s and 1x 192 reflector. Roughtly 800 actual watts. Im using a scrog method for 6 plants in my 5x5 tent.

So far everything is great, but im only on week 9 of Vegetative stage (18/6) and soon I will flip them to 12/12. I am wondering if I need more lights? A great member here, CO Finest, I saw is using t5s on the sides of the tent for exta light. Should I add any more lights and if so what kind? Thank you guys.

I've just bought a reflector-48! so excited to see what this will do to my grow. Any advice on how to utilise this light to the best of its abilitys? I have a 2'x3' space but price was an issue so I had to stick with a lower sized light. Also any photos of this light being used would be great

Welcome Mono,congrates for your new light.
Our recommendation is :
1: During flowering stage. You need to turn both veg and flower switches on. Please note , it is both switches, that means veg switch included.
2: During Veg stage, We recommend you only turn the veg switch on, but if your power is not enough, you can turn both veg and flower switches on.
Many growers like to turn on both switches from VEG to flower.
How many plants you keep there? Looking forward to some pics.

I've just moved the mars2 1200w into my flowering tent... Since this is my first time using LED, I was wondering - Do I run only the bloom setting now it's on 12/12 or do I run the joint grow and bloom settings?

Morning Densenug.
Mars II 1200,each switch control two fans.But plants always like more light,i think they will be happy with full spectrum.

Run both grow and bloom Mono, that way all the fans are running.

I also think if seedling room little bigger than the current size who gave is better,we will consider about it.
Add another shelf will not be a problem,2 adjustable shelves is easy to do.

so yeh essentially it would be an outside measurement of 48x72 with the inside wall at 48 leaving 24 for the seedling area.

still wanna see 2 adjustable shelves in there though. cuz my thought is cloner on the floor, seedlings at mid shelf for diffused light and vegging on top shelf. that's if it is used with the wall as 2 separate rooms.

as one room, which is how i would likely use it, the whole rack end would get diffused light from the other side with a 1k light. almost the samearrangement, cloner at the floor, but seedlings up top and vegging on the mid shelf.

so either way, it requires 2 adjustable shelves.

Welcome to our land.
Roughtly 800W for a 5'x5' space,it will be 32w/sqm.You can add some side lights.
Many growers will make it 40-50W/sqm,so it's no problem you can add some T5 lights.
But please make sure your exhaust system works well.

Like Willie said " Either you high or you ain't high". Prolly get too high n do some multi tasking , eat a huge bowl of caramel corn coated with peach yogurt then take a nice stoned nap listening to music.

I'm not sure about that,but i do sure about onething: i will never know the answer and the feeling.
I just think that indica will make us rest,satvia will make our mind high...so if we mix half-half of each together,then maybe we will dance for a few minutes then rest for a few minutes.....repeat....then it depends on which one is the dominant one

I'd go hunt back through the posts in this thread, but I've already missed my bed time - If I don't get horizontal soon, I'll miss my wake-up time, too.
