A Portland band had its show at an Eastern Oregon prison canceled when a correctional officer discovered marijuana in a guitar string bag.
The Alexa Wiley Band was scheduled to perform last Saturday for inmates at the Two Rivers Correctional Institution, a medium-security prison east of Umatilla.
Prison spokeswoman Vicki Reynolds says the marijuana was found during a mandatory inspection of the band's equipment.
The East Oregonian newspaper reports the Oregon State Police confiscated the drug and detained the guitarist before letting him leave the prison.
Reynolds says it's unlikely the band will be invited back.
