A police raid on a farm in southwest Manitoba has netted about 13,000 marijuana plants.
Nearly three dozen members of the RCMP and Brandon police, as well as air units, were involved in the raid in the Virden area on Sunday.Mounties say the plants were found in two separate fields.
They also say they received a tip about the operation last month. A 46-year-old man is facing various drug-related charges and police say more are expected.
The suspect's name has not been released. Virden is about 250 kilometres west of Winnipeg.
