Germinated in clear plastic solo cup in warm water with seed mat and placed directly in soil. Soil is store bought FFOF with tea compost.

Started in a tote with small 18W (“50W” equivalent”) Morsen LED lights to get plants going together with a small non-oscillating fan for general air circulation. I had cut up an old tent to create reflective siding. Only intended as an extremely short term nursery.

After about a week or two I put them out in greenhouse. Hasn’t been much sunlight last few days with exception of today but this is progress so far. A little behind imo but I’m in no hurry.

When plants are ready for transplant i will be moving to smart pots possibly with coco pads separating soil and base of pot for more efficient drainage and greater aeration.

Welcome to 420 Mariguana:welcome:
Starting big,eh? you're going to have plenty to keep you busy for awhile!

Just one comment-roots don't like light,so putting your clear solo cups inside an opaque solo cup might make them happier, you can just lift them out to look at the roots, then slide them back in to keep the roots in the dark while you're waiting...

Glad to have you aboard-this is going to get interesting!

Hey thanks man!

Several different kinds are growing. All bag seed not from any bags I owned. Got them from someone else. Have more getting ready to go. Trying to get as much as I can done outdoors so I don’t have to think about a winter grow.

Plants are getting big! How do you plan to handle bugs, humidity and other mold/mildew/bud rot issues being outside? Bugs can also be an issue as well. I’ve considered growing outdoors myself, always been indoors as you’ll see from my various grows.

Since my last post I raised my green house u. About 2 1/2 feet using cinder blocks, tarps and grate style shelves to block the area under the greenhouse and will continue to elevate it for as long as I need. I’ll have to expand the base to ensure integrity and stability but is the only way I can keep them contained.

Also, looking into odor controllers given the smell is starting to permeate and we are nowhere near bloom yet. Considering ONA (odor neutralizing agent) supposedly works so well that it can’t be put in grow area as it will suck out the aroma of the plant.

Anyway, here’s where we are at. Yesterday just did transplants from 2g to 5 gallon smart pots.

Hot her today so working to keep plants cool as greenhouse reads 100. Have door open so as to let a little air to move around and release some of the contained heat so as not to dry plants out.

Have some babies going to just to make sure I compensate for any potential males, they all come from bag seed so high chance of hermies anyway. Gotta maximize that flower power (under other circumstances I would never use that expression).

Looking good man! Going to have some serious trees when your done. If you do it right, you MIGHT be able to come away from bag seed with sinsemilla. As for the odor but, not sure what I can recommend right now as I’ve always been indoor grower and use carbon filter. I’ll checkout various forums and threads and see if I can find anything that will help you. Specific to ONA I’ve read a bit about it and it’s powerful stuff, you’ll want to be careful with it.

flower power
The 70's called-they want their slogan back....;)
Looking good-Nice 'n Healthy... You could top the taller ones to slow down their upward growth a little,so you don't run out of greenhouse again...

I use nutrients sporadically. Of any I use the most which even then isn’t a lot is Cal-Mag by Botanicare. The one soil compost additive I routinely use is fish guts and not in usually in bottled form by FF (unless I’m desperate) I use actual fish guts, heads and tails, etc. as they are the best source of (micro) nutrients that support soil bacteria, plant growth, root stimulus, etc. Decomposition occurs relatively quickly (compared to most forms of decomp.) and there’s no fish odor of any kind. Generally this attracts garden ants which is of further benefit to the plants because they provide further root aeration from tunnels, prevent caterpillars, move good bacteria and decomposed material around the pot. I’ve done it a long time and never been disappointed and before I did that did a lot of research asked a lot of questions, etc. Everyone has their own strategies this one happens to be mine.

Hey Guys,

Had to consolidate all my resources Into 4 plants. Growing too rapidly. Largest one is now larger then 6 foot stake. 3/4 in 25G pot. Considering revegging after Harvest which can take a few months to get going. By that time Winter will be here. If i insulate with bubble wrap and keep pots off ground should be alright. Stay tuned.

Had to give this one the greenhouse all to herself. Raised the greenhouse another foot or so. Going to be a monster when flowering time emerges. Temps got over 100 in there today so I used a box fan to exhaust heat through the gate and brought temps down about 15 degrees when set to medium.

Looks like you have a monster on your hands. I wish I had space for a greenhouse, my outdoor girls just have to survive the weather.

Over here in ME we don’t start seeing 12/12 till September 23rd so she’s got a while to go before we even start flowering. No idea how I’m going to keep her contained (as req’d by law over here) experimenting with smell containment as come flowering everyone is going to smell it all up and down the neighborhood and there’s a park behind my house so there’s that. I tried some ONA gel pro and many raves about it and got decent reviews on AMZ but doesn’t work for s*it. She’s pretty easy to smell right now, more so when I have to exhaust the heat and it carries the odor out.

You can grow outdoors with decent results and not attract attention if you get yourself some autos and smaller buckets. Build a small enclosure with some $3 stakes from Wally World and a few tarps as walls (did it once). Can be as big or as small as you want.

If you have the ambition you can buy a dog house make some post market modifications and grow outdoors that way and nobody will know the wiser, it’s a little more complicated then the first recommendation but definitely effective if you want to hide from prying eyes.
