Cannabis was found on a man suspected of urinating against a fence, a court heard yesterday.

Police searched Jahson Smith while they were on patrol in a car park opposite the Emporium Building, Front Street.

Crown counsel Nicole Smith said that officers saw a male standing against a fence who they believed to be urinating.

When they spoke to him he was slurring his words, but the Warwick defendant was searched for drugs after officers did not smell booze on his breath.
The court heard that 0.91 grams of cannabis was found in Smith's front trouser pocket.

Smith, 19, who admitted cannabis possession on July 9, apologised to Magistrates Court yesterday and was fined $600.

The Spring Hill resident was also fined for three speeding offences, between August and October.
