male plants

Pollinating females to make seeds. Thats it.

and that means having one female right next to a male and does the male polanating (or watever) the female ruin the quality of the bud you are going to get. ( or do you even get bud from it?) and sorry for all the questions this is my first time growing and i am trying to get as much info as i can and i have all ready read thru the night about this stuff and i still have questions

well.... a pollinated female will produce thc. Most of the crap on the streets usually has seeds in it but it will actually get you high. Granted seedless marijuana will produce bigger and better quality buds, but just because it has been polinated doesnt make it worthless. But like GS said, if you see a male in your growroom and your not planning on breeding, get that bitch outta there. It is of no help to your crop.

if i want to get really into growing shouln't i then get a male and female and get lots of seeds so i can grow more and keep multiplying my crop

you would be better to grow a couple mother plants and take clones off of them. That way you get guaranteed female plants. I started out with feminized seeds. Every seed I planted has turned out to be female so far. The down side is that is female seeds tend to produce some hermaphadite plants. The upside to that is, every seed you get from herm produced seeds will be female. My last 2 grows have produced minimal seeds, I never even saw the herm plant. But it's nice to have a new supply of female seeds. Those things aren't cheap!

^^^Agreed, however, your thought processes are valid. If you don't want to spend the money on buying seeds on line (femish or not) and you don't buy a lot of mj off the street, (like me) then letting one plant go to seed now and then works just as well. I get bagi seeds from my friends and family and do a grow for seed when ever I run out of seeds from the last batch I've colected.

It's simple. You have two choices...

1. You are growing for buds only, you pull the males and keep the females.

2. You are growing only for seeds, you leave the males and allow them to pollinate the females and make seeds.

Furthurmore, breeding, that is #2 growing for seed, with bagseed, is a fairly worthless endevour because you are crossing unknown strains with unknown characteristics.
