Magnesium Or Nitrogen Issues?

Just notice this, one or two leaves experiencing this… it’s on the lower/older vegetation… been alternating using alaskan fish/mornloom … soil grown (fox farms ocean) outdoor blueberry… otherwise she is doing awesome

I would say a magnesium deficiency; I've dealt with that on more than occasion. A little CalMag Xtra (or similar) should take care of it.

Regarding what Phytoplankton said... how big is the pot? Does it have drainage holes in the bottom?

I don't the pot is too small. I have plants of similar size in five gallon pots (not nearly as tall).

Does the pot have drainage holes in it?

I think you mean 20L/5Gal pot?
Think I'd try try a top dressing of lime to maintain the CaMg levels, and maybe a sprinkle of blood/fish&bone

Good size and nice looking plant in that container. It looks healthy and no yellow leaves showing at this time unless you already picked all of them off.

Finding one or two in the lower canopy is not all that unusual. If more than a few leaves have started to show yellow then it is time to start changing the fertilizing amounts to what is needed for the upcoming flowering season. And, it really helps to take care of the problem now because once the plant starts flowering it gets really hard to fix problems.

I am familiar with the fertilizer mixes you are using so I might be able to help. How much of the Fish Fertilizer (5-1-1) are you using each time and how often do you use it?

Same with the MorBloom (0-10-10). How much and how often?

I think you mean 20L/5Gal pot?
Yep, I would hope so.

20 gallon pot would be almost half way up a 55 gallon drum. And two cubic yards is more than many standard pick-up trucks could handle.

Having the volume of soil wrong can eventually mess with the amounts of fertilizer mix that should be used.

So presently, I am feeding her every four days with her watering,…. alternating 2/3 strength fish food and then the next watering with 2/3 strength morbloom…. Last night i gave her one gallon of water mixed with 1 teaspoon (5ml) of cal/mag…. And that has been it

Not familiar with those nutes - are they supposed to be used separately?
CaMg is often used with every watering, either way it appears to be light on feed
Better to have yellow tips than yellow blotches

When I used the Fish I was using it full strength and did not see any problems with my plants. I had just started using the MorBloom when I made a switch to another line of fertilizers.

My reply to Roy's question is very related to what I was going to mention here so read on.

Yes, and that is part of why I switched. I figured that the company was producing a general all-purpose product intended for the average flower and vegetable outdoor gardener. With flowers the products worked great, right up there with the trio from FoxFarm. I used both the Alaska brand and FoxFarm to bring back flowers I rescued from the trash when owners forgot to water in mid-summer and did not want to bring them back or did not know how.

The Alaska brand does not seem to be targeting the Marijuana plant growers. The feeding schedule for the MorBloom is intended the usual garden plants that start to flower in June and go up to late October. There is no change in fertilizing amounts or frequency for when the plants would be entering an intense flowering stage the way Cannabis does.

@Mickies, I am thinking that you will have to be watching the leaves and start increasing the dose of the MorBloom to get a better amount of Potassium. But be ready to back off if signs of excess start to show.

Keep up with the Cal/Mag giving the dose recommended. Once a week often works. It is hard to overdose Calcium--it can be done, just does not happen as often as with other nutrients like Nitrogen, etc.

OK, will continue with a weekly Cal mag drink, and excellent advice

I love the Alaskan product so far. Really produce some nice greenery..

Question: how often and how much should I be feeding the Alaskan fish and the Alaskan more bloom going forward into flower? There’s really no guidance on this as you said they don’t target the cannabis grower figured you might know seeing as you used it before. Any information is most greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Really just wondering if I could use both the AFF and the morbloom throughout flower…. MorBloom has no nitrogen in it, which is not great, AFF does… so I’m thinking they can be used together in someway I just don’t know how any ideas would be greatly appreciated

You can try two different ways. One way would be to water using the Fish Fertilizer during one watering and the using the MorBloom the next watering.

Or, you can try mixing the two together in the same water.

Without some actual guidance in how much to use of each when mixing them you could think about continuing with the 2/3rds of the recommended dose and watch the leaves for signs of excess.

Download and store a copy of the major nutrient excess and deficiency charts so they are easy to find.
