Creamy Carmel Apples
Ingredients:
1/2 cup Magical Butter's butter, plus 1 tablespoon for the bottom of the apples when cooling
1/4 cup Magical Butter's vanilla tincture
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
4 ounces heavy cream
2 ounces light corn syrup
2 ounces honey
1 tablespoon pure vanilla extract
6 apples (3 red and 3 Granny Smith) washed, dried and stems pulled out
Chopped toppings of your choice
Step by Step Directions:
1. Place a sheet of parchment on a cookie sheet and butter the area where you are going to place the apples down to cool off.
2. Place the popsicle sticks into the top ot the apples where the stems come out.
3. Put butter, tincture, sugars, cream, corn syrup and honey into a large heavy-bottomed saucepan and turn stovetop on medium heat.
4. Stir mixture for 2 minutes.
5. Place in a candy thermometer and heat to 240 degrees F, remove from heat and stir in vanilla exttract.
6. Once the caramels have reached desired temperature pour into a bowl and dip apples into the caramel covering.
7. Place them on top of the buttered parchment paper and add your favorite toppings.
8. Let cool for 1 - 3 hours in the refrigerator and enjoy!
