Enjoy a Magical Ahi Tuna Delight with this recipe.
Taoism Sesame Crusted Ahi Tuna
Ingredients:
1/4 cup Magical Butter toasted sesame oil.
1/4 cup Magical Butter sunflower seed oil.
12 - 16 oz Sushi Grade Ahi Tuna, 1 solid piece 3 - 4" in diameter
4 - 6 tablespoons Black-and-White Sesame Seeds, to coat tuna
1/2 cup Soy Sauce
8 tablespoons Crystallized Ginger (about 10 pieces)
3 tablespoons Orange Blossom Honey
2 - 3 tablespoons Prepared Wasabi
2 tablespoons fresh Lime Juice
1 Kaffir Lime Leaf
Garnish:
Baby Cilantro Sprigs
Pickled Thai Red Chili Slivers

Step by Step Directions:
Take half of the sesame seed oil and coat the tuna. Next coat the tuna with black-and-white sesame seeds. Set aside in the refrigerator for 15 minutes. In a large saute pan on medium-high heat, take 1/2 of the sunflower seed oil and coat the pan until it's scorching hot. Place the tuna in the sauce pan and sear all four sides (45 - 60 seconds per side). Put on a plate and let the dish rest in the refrigerator until you are ready to cut and serve.
Hint: Before serving, warm the leftover sauce and drizzle onto the tuna.
