Lowrider72 Grows Again! Super Skunk, Pineapple Express & Mangolicious

Hey Guys and Gals!
Thought I would start a new grow, little hot here but only in Veg....

Strains are from AMS....

Super Skunk- Skunk #1 X Northern Lights.

Mangolicious- Big Bud X White Widow.

Pineapple Express- White Widow X Limoncello Haze X Strawberry Ice.

Just going to grow some in small 1.2 X 1.2m tents under 315W CMH Phillips bulbs (315W/930).

Just popped seeds about 2 weeks ago and had them under LED veg lights, just hit the tent to veg them up under the 315W CMH, then we shall do some cloning and go from there.

Just doing some tester pics, pretty hot here but I'm in veg, so light is pretty far off the plants.
Was 35C here today so grow tent is a tad warm and RH is fairly low, so just keeping them hydrated and a bit of a spray every now and then.

I now have made frames to sit a drain table on in both tents, makes life Soo much easier on my back.
Just a light shot, just to see if it works....

Running Philips Master colour or CDM-TMW 315W/930.
It's an awesome globe, so should see some good results, before I ran Indoor sun 3200K, from memory these are 3100K.
Running the ballasts outside the grow tent to reduce heat and using a Lucius Broad vented reflector.
And in Coco as always 50% new, 50% recycled.

From little things, Big things grow!

Not that much to see right now but won't take long to turn it into something beautiful.

Here's how the frame under the tray was constructed....

Just made out of 4" X 2" pine, simple but means the plants never have to leave the tent.
So if I have a few in there or big pots it saves lifting them in and out, which is the worst part for me. The container holds a bit over 2 gallons which is enough to get a good run off every water.

This is the grow room, with two 4ft X 4ft grow tents and one propagation/clone tent.

It's all I need to get the job done.

Not using the fancy Lucius ballasts this time, thought I would try some generic ones with the tops removed to remove heat, but with Philips Master globes, I made a shelf between the tents where it's all out of the way.....

All out of the way, but easy to check on.

Plants looking better today, it's cooler and even the Mango looks better.....

Me too- a gallon of water seems to weigh a lot more than it used to...
These new sip planters I'm using actually get about twice as heavy as a regular pot- wet soil, plus a full res is a lot of water.
Fortunately, I don't have to move them in and out very often- and when I move the auto out, she'll probably stay out for the duration, as long as the weather cooperates...

Yeah I checked out the sip thread, interesting.
My back gets worse each year so I'm trying to work smarter, not harder.
Will get some more pics up soon, girls are pumping! Oh forgot to mention the seeds I have are F5 breeders seeds, so should be decent.

Ok, just a quick update,
The Super Skunk and Pineapple Express are really pumping, the Mangolicious is a bit slow but getting there. She might not be the best choice for a mother plant, but the other two are definately Mother plant worthy.

Have grown the Super Skunk before and it's a great strain, very hardy and resistant to just about anything. The Pineapple Express is looking the goods as well. Think the Mango just needs to be babied a bit more, she is fussy.

That's true Carcass.
In for some hot weather, so decided to do some cloning of the three strains and pop everything back under the L.E.D lights until it cools down.
Took 6 clones of each strain and put them in my clone box for a bit more humidity.

The Mother plants didn't even wilt after the cloning and soon will be reported to 2 gallon buckets. Looking healthy and drinking well....

So if all goes well and my cloning success rate stays at 100% that will mean 9 plants per tent in 2 gallon pots.

Just a shot of my clone/mother tent, using Philips L.E.D. full spectrum lights, I cut the covers off for more intensity....

Just using half the tent, as the mother plants and clones get bigger I will use the whole area.

I love growing, it's my hobby, have others but enjoy it Soo much.
Those Philips globes are 19W each, 6500K.
Surface mount LEDs.

Keep it all in check for the clones with a cheap controller......

That controls the heatmat, monitors temp and switches the lights on and off. Going 20hrs on and 4 hours sleepy time.

The big ones, eh?- mine are 9 watt, and I have to use 2 for the seedlings- I'll have to get a 19 watter..

I've just got 3 cheapo timers 1 for the light, 1 for the fans, and one for the heat mat. In cold weather like we're having, the heat mat stays on 24/7 -I use it to heat the box-it keeps it a few degrees warmer in there than without it, and I cycle the exhaust on and off to try and retain a little more of that heat.

That timer/temp set up is like $30 on fleabay.
It's only good for low wattage lights, but is regular as clockwork.
Usually get rooted clones in 10-14 days.

Speaking of which, Clones about a week in.....

The Mothers are doing well, stretched a little but it's been super hot here.
The LEDs help keep the heat down......
