Hello out there! :welcome: Thank you for taking the time to have a look at my grow journal, pull up a chair and enjoy! Please feel free to offer advice as my grow progresses, I'm all about sharing knowledge, constantly looking to improve.

A Little Introduction:

I'm a Canadian that has enjoyed marijuana on a recreational bases since I was 16, little over 12 years now. I have grown outdoors fairly successfully for about 5 years now, but never where I could really care for my ladies properly, always relying on good genetics and the graces of Mother Nature. This past year though my wife and I bought our first house (fucking eh!) allowing me to grow in my backyard for the first time last summer! After 4 and a half months of love, my ladies looked outstanding, the dedication was paying off! It looked like it was going to be my best harvest ever! Until 2 days before my planned harvest, I was robbed! The greedy bastards cleaned me out, cutting all 3 plants at the base and running for the hills. I'm pretty sure it was my dick neighbour's dick son and his friends, they seem to have a running joke that eludes to as much. So I bought a 4 x 4 Stealth Grow Kit including a 700 watt LED. Let the journey begin.

The Details:

Grow Room: 48" x 48" x 84" 600D Mylar Tent
Ventilation: 4" Hurricane with an Australian Activated Charcoal Filter
Lights: 700 Watt LED (Full Spectrum) No Bloom or Veg Specific Option
Bucket Size: 3.5 gallon
Medium: 100% Dutch Recipe Coco Substrate
Nutrients: AgroGreen/ Gaia Green
Strain: OG Platinum
# of Plants: 2
Yield : ????

I started these ladies from seed about 7 weeks ago, when I had nothing to really even consider growing. So they are in need of some TLC. I was originally planning on having my tent by week 2 not week 7 so I'm not sure how well they will turn out. They were the push I needed to really start growing though, so that part is good. They have been under the light for one full cycle so far, going to leave them for another full cycle then water and start feeding them nutrients very lightly to nurse them back to health before transplanting into Coco Substrate.

We have heat!

I just realised there is a heating duct that goes through the basement located right above my tent! Had some spare 4" flexible ducting so I ran it from the opening into my tent through one of the bottom venting holes. Hopefully this combined with lifting the pots of the cold concrete floor a couple inches will help keep nominal soil temps during this frigged Canadian winter.

All Transplanted!

Well I transplanted my two sick ladies into the 100% Dutch Recipe Coco Substrate. Carefully removing any of the original garden soil with some PH neutral water. I gave them .5 ppm of AgroGreen organic liquid nutrients as well as 15 g per sq. Ft of Gaia Green into the Coco Substrate.

Please excuse the terrible quality pictures of this grow, my phone camera is actually quite good, when the lens isn't cracked.

Great News Everyone!

Well They seem to have taken root in their new pots, which is a good sign. One small step down the road to recovery. They don't look too healthy but its only been a couple days under the lights with proper medium and nutrients. Will check back in about a week with a post on their progress.

I also decided to start germinating two Jack Herer Autos yesterday morning, just in case things turn south, so either way you will start to see pictures and updates including those to ladies next week as well.

Quick update on the ladies condition.

One of the sick ladies died off but the other is starting to turn it around with some new growth happening, she still has a long way to go. Also the two Jack Herer sprouted today!

Just a little Update.

Just a little update on the progress of my three lovely ladies.

The OG Platinum is doing great. its actually 9 weeks old, but because of the stress and terrible conditions she was started in, she only looks about 4 weeks old. The two Jack Herer are doing great on week 2 of growth, couple more weeks and they should be in full veg. By the looks of the growth I think the Jack Herer will catch up to the OG Platinum in a few weeks, and end up being ready for harvest around the same time.

I am having a little issue with nailing down a good watering schedule, especially this being my first time using Coco Substrate. Should I be completely flushing the medium with fresh water and nutrients every three or four days or just continue watering as needed? I'm worried that the water that is being held by the Coco will go stagnate before being used/evaporated? If anyone that views this journal could impart any knowledge or advice it would be greatly appreciated.

Quick Update

The ladies are doing great we are on beginning week 3 for the Jack Herer & week 5 for the Platinum OG. Feeding them tap water that has sat for 48 hours with 2 mL of AgroGreen per L. I checked the information on the website for my municipal water supply, the just chlorinate the water. I was completely flushing the pots every three days, but they started to show signs of over watering so I am going try every 5 days, until they require more frequent feeding. Seem to be growing fairly well. Colour is great and the leaves feel pretty leathery, I keep at average temperature of 74 F my Rh is pretty low only around 20%. I mist the plants, twice a day to keep them moist, with a 500 mL bottle of RO water that I pick up once a week, adding .5 mL of AgroGreen to the bottle.

Auto Jack Herer - Week 4 & OG Platinum - Week 6

So far so good, getting some wicked growth or at least I think so. Temperature lows are averaging 69F and topping out at 79F. I am having a bit of a problem with humidity. My ladies are looking and feeling fairly dry and aren't drinking anymore then usual. I've managed to get my humidity to stay around 38% RH, but I need a way to raise it and keep it in the 40-50% RH range. Any suggestions? I don't want to get a humidifier because of the extra energy but if I absolutely have to I will. I was also having a little problem with air flow, but I corrected it.

Jack Herer - Week 6, OG Platinum - Week 8

Hey there! Sorry for not posting last week, not sure if anyone actually reads this thing or not, but sorry none the less.

The ladies are growing really well, I was having still having problems with humidity last week so I bought a new better humidifier then the one I got from Value Village. With the new humidifier I manage to keep the humidity at about 58% RH at least for the last few days. We will see how it turns out.

Since it was so dry in my tent for so long there are signs of over fertilization, since they were going through so much water trying to hydrate themselves. I have cut done significantly on the quantity nutrients I am giving them, the last two feedings have been just filtered water, to try and give them a break. We will see how that turns out with next weeks update.

Overall things are looking great. Just getting the environment in the tent dialed in, almost got it perfect. As time goes on I plan on picking up a few new things and and upgrading some of the current hardware to get everything perfect in there. Also I apologize once again for the terrible quality of the pictures. The front 2 ladies are the Jack's and the girl hiding in the back in the OG Platinum.
