Looking for ideas on a compost tea pump and filter

Hello all, I am looking for ideas on a pump and filter system to apply compost tea to my garden. Up to now I have been making compost tea and dipping it out of the barrel with a one gallon pitcher and pouring it on the base of my plants. I want to automate my compost tea application process with a pump but I am assuming I am going to need a good filter of some sort. Any ideas? Does anybody else use a system like this? Thanks in advance for any info.

I worked on same problem for a minute but the switched from hydro to soil. Anywho couple ideas I had were to use a paint filter bag don’t know if that will work or last long term another was to take a small kitchen click clack box like Tupperware but where lid snaps on corners but big enough to put pump inside. Drill holes for hoses and wires but also drill holes for water to enter box. Then line the box with a filter device like spic and span green scouring pads or the HVAC reusable filter maybe even kitchen sponge.

Idk maybe there is something like this off the shelf in the hydro or the aquarium world.

Another way to crack this nut would be to build a drip or spray tubing system & hook to each plant. Then make your tea as usual but before pumping or distributing the tea, pour through a strainer or double strain it.

Yes not ideal, but as you are already aware the problem will be fine sediment clogging up spray nozzles and/or the tubing not to mention gumming up the pump. How many plants are you watering when you do your tea party?

Again, I do soil grows but maybe these hydro guys got something way better. Good luck man!
