looking for feedback on a Hempy idea. ( probably been done)

I want to make a hempy bucket but with a fabric bag. everything would be the same but there would be no hole in the bag. the bottom few inches filled with perlite would just sit in a pan of solution up to the 2 to 3 inch mark. instead of "flushing" and hoping that enough of the old nutes are exchanged just put it into a fresh pan of solution. with the right pan you might even be able to put air stones in it.

anyone see any reason why this wouldn't work just as good? or even better.

It may work, but the possible issue I see is that you generally want to avoid having open/standing containers of nutrient solution with access to light. That usually leads to outbreaks of undesirable growths and slime. The flushing aspect is pretty important with hempy as well.

Maybe if the container on the bottom was sealed, but then I’m not sure what the advantage would be over a traditional hempy pot.
